Ingersoll Rand Centrifugal Compressor Controllers MAESTRO™ Universal

With a robust feature set and easy-to-use interface, the advanced MAESTRO™ Universal

controller will optimize operation for both new and existing compressed air systems.

Optimize Compressor Performance and Lower Your Costs

MAESTRO Universal is a state-of-the-art air control system for managing

centrifugal compressor performance, and the standard controls solution for

new MSG® TURBO-AIR® and MSG® centrifugal compressors manufactured

by Ingersoll Rand. Our engineering team can design a customized MAESTRO

Universal controller upgrade for existing compressed air systems. Unique

instrumentation packages and monitoring functions are configured to optimize

compressor performance for each installation and, in many cases, existing

equipment can be reused to achieve further savings.

Multiple Compressor Management (MCM)

By connecting and controlling several control panels as a team, MAESTRO Universal

can load/unload and start/stop compressors as needed to modulate compressors,

maximizing the efficiency of the entire compressed air system.

ABB Ability Symphony Plus SDe introduces a space-fit solution

ABB Ability Symphony Plus SDe introduces a space-fit solution that allows for incremental,  in

place upgrades. This method retains existing infrastructure such as cabinets, cables, and field

wiring, significantly reducing downtime and environmental impact by minimizing hardware

waste. The focus is on replacing or upgrading only the components that add direct value, such as

controllers and I/O modules, which also helps in reducing power consumption and enhancing

energy efficiency.

The transition to a modern Ethernet-based communication backbone in place of proprietary

systems further future-proofs plants, facilitating easier upgrades and integration with other

enterprise systems. This network-centric approach allows for more flexible and scalable plant

operations, adapting to changing needs without extensive re-engineering.

By adopting these innovative solutions, industrial plants achieve a more manageable and cost-

effective upgrade process, maintaining control over their life cycle planning, minimizing risks, and

ensuring continuous improvement in operational efficiency and compliance. This strategy not only

protects the plants’ investments in automation but also aligns with broader sustainability and

efficiency goals.

ABB A future-proof approach to modernizing industrial automation

Executive summary

Aging automation systems pose significant challenges for industrial plant managers

due to their inability to keep up with technological advancements, leading to inefficiencies,

increased unplanned maintenance costs, and heightened risk of compliance issues.

Traditionally, upgrading these systems involved a costly and disruptive “rip and replace” approach.

However, a more sustainable and cost-effective strategy is now available through modular, phased

upgrades, emphasizing minimal operational disruption.

ABB Ability Symphony Plus SDe introduces a space-fit solution that allows for incremental,  in

place upgrades. This method retains existing infrastructure such as cabinets, cables, and field

wiring, significantly reducing downtime and environmental impact by minimizing hardware

waste. The focus is on replacing or upgrading only the components that add direct value, such as

energy efficiency.

Emerson SmartPower™ Modules

Emerson SmartPower™ Modules are

engineered with a robust and adaptable

design that withstands harsh environments

and allows you to choose the best mode of

power for your application.

Version 3.2.0 Features

The Power Module Management Application has recently

Emerson New Estimated Critical Temperature Feature

New Estimated Critical Temperature Feature

New with Version 3.2.0. the Power Module Management

Application can now be used to estimate and alert the critical

temperature of a power module. The Estimated Critical

Temperature feature notifies the user of a temperature at

which the device is anticipated to go offline. This gives the user

actionable information to replace a power module based on

temperature conditions.

Benefits include:

• Eliminates the need for manual checks on device power

• Especially useful in climates with a wide-range of

temperatures

• Avoids unnecessary process down-time, saving time and money

• The human-centered design is user-tested for consistent and

intuitive navigation

The application becomes important for monitoring assets as

wireless infrastructures continue to grow. With Version 3.2.0.

additional features like email alerting and Estimated Critical

Temperature make it easier to plan for maintenance and continue

normal operations.
