Save time and enhance machine performances with tuning-less

operation features

Traditionally, tuning the axis on a machine was a special art. Whether it was commissioning

a machine or providing maintenance due to changing mechanics over time – tuning has

been a time consuming job. Kinetix 5700 tuning-less features include:

• Load Observer real-time tuning technology to automatically tune each axis, compensate

for unknown mechanics and adjust for applications with varying inertia during operation

• Virtual torque sensor functionality to detect anomalies and provide analytics

• Adaptive tuning with multiple tracking notch filters to mitigate resonances

Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5700 Servo Drive Integrated Safety

Integrated Safety

The Kinetix 5700 servo drive with integrated safety on EtherNet/IP, mitigates the need to

separately wire the drive for safety. It reduces overall system wiring, saves time and money

in installation and helps remove potential points of failure, thus resulting in less down time

and troubleshooting. Integrated safety provides the capability to change the safety zoning

and configurations, without needing to physically rewire the devices.

FOXBORO Compact FBM215 HART® Communication Output Interface Module Visual Indicators

Compact Design

The compact FBM215 has a narrower design than the standard 200 series FBM.

It has a rugged acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) housing that provides physical protection for the circuitry.

Enclosures specifically designed for mounting the FBM provide varying degrees of environmental

protection up to the harsh environments specified in ISA Standard S71.04.

Visual Indicators

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) on the front of the module provide a visual indication of the module’s operational status and channel communication activity.

Easy Removal/Replacement

Modules are mounted on a Compact 200 Series base plate that can be mounted either on DIN rails or horizontally in a rack using a kit.

Includes signal connectors for redundant fieldbus, redundant independent DC power supply and termination cables.

Two screws on the FBM secure the module to the Compact 200 Series base plate.

Removing/replacing the module eliminates the need to remove field device termination cables, power supplies, or communication cables.

Termination Components

Field output signals are connected to the FBM subsystem via DIN rail mounted TAs.
