Emerson Ethernet I/O Card (EIOC) Huge processing capacity

„ Huge processing capacity. Each EIOC is capable of handling

a huge amount of Data in up to 2000 Control Modules.

„ EIOC is part of the DeltaV Control Network. 60 EIOC’s

can be added directly to the DeltaV Control Network,

allowing maximum freedom in segregating your networks.

„ Flexible networking. User configurable IP addressing for

the Ethernet Device Network allows the EIOC to be used in

almost any plant environment regardless of the networking

scheme. When designing a simplex Ethernet Device Network,

consider that the EIOC and the Ethernet Devices must be on

the same IP subnet to communicate. Also, when designing

a redundant Ethernet Device Network, consider that the

primary and secondary ports in the EIOC must be in different

subnets to follow best engineering practices.

Emerson Ethernet I/O Card (EIOC) Monitoring

„ Monitoring. Data values integrated into the EIOC can

be used in Control Modules running inside the EIOC.

These control modules allow alarm generation,

history collection, and viewing by the operator,

as with control modules running in a Controller

using traditional DeltaV native I/O.

„ Supports control functionality. In addition,

function blocks allowing for discrete control and limited

PID control are supported for the EIOC. No assignment to a

controller is required. Motors, switchgear, variable frequency

drives; or any device that communicate via Ethernet

protocols can be controlled directly from the EIOC.

„ Easy to connect to Ethernet Devices using Modbus TCP,

EtherNet/IP, IEC61850 MMS, OPC UA client and EtherNet/

IP Control Tag Integration protocols. Use the EIOC Ethernet

protocols to connect your DeltaV system to your Ethernet

Device Networks.

Emerson Ethernet I/O Card (EIOC) Powerful and Scalable

Emerson DeltaV™ Wireless I/O Card Benefits

Benefits

Fully Redundant Wireless Networks. The DeltaV WIOC

is a complete redundant solution for your wireless needs.

Redundant items include DeltaV network communication, 24 V

DC power, WIOCs, and Smart Wireless Field Links, as well as the

multiple communication paths of the adaptive mesh network

itself. The redundant architecture eliminates any single point

of failure and provides immediate switchover in case of a fault

anywhere along the WIOC and Field Link hardware.

WirelessHART delivers PlantWeb. The WIOC powers

PlantWeb by giving you access to intelligent devices using

WirelessHART technology. WirelessHART devices have the

same PlantWeb alerts as their wired counterparts, providing a

consistent user experience.

Emerson DeltaV™ SX Controller Product WirelessHART I/O card

The WirelessHART I/O card (WIOC) provides redundant

communication for up to 100 WirelessHART devices,

providing high availability and reliability of wireless data.

Up to 16 WirelessHART I/O cards can communicate to

one controller, each providing up to 100 signals.

Control modules are automatically scheduled by the controller,

based on their assigned scan rates. This allows each control

function to be optimized based on the process dynamics.

Modules scan times can be set as fast as 100 ms, and as slow

as 60 seconds. The number of control modules that can be

assigned to a controller depends on the complexity and scan

rate of each module, and the available CPU and memory.

The SX controller should be used for medium to large

applications with a maximum of 1500 individual I/O signals.

The SX controller is designed for harsh environments and

is rated for G3 corrosive environments, with an operating

temperature range from -40 to 60°C.

Emerson DeltaV™ SX Controller Product WIOC

The SX controller also supports CHARMs and WirelessHART I/O

cards. The CHARM I/O Card (CIOC) connects via the redundant

Ethernet ports of the controller to provide a highly distributed

and flexible I/O solution called Electronic Marshalling. Up to

16 CIOC’s can communicate to one controller, each providing

up to 96 individually configurable signal types.

The capacity limits of the SX controller may vary depending on

the particular application, amount of CHARM I/O Signals and

as well control performance requirements. Enhanced memory

handling and hardware alerts covering capacity and memory,

via indexes, got added to the diagnostic information of the SX Controller.

It is ideally suited for larger

units with higher I/O counts. It can be field mounted close to

the equipment, or centrally located in an equipment room.

For more traditional installations with central marshalling

cabinets, CHARM I/O cards can be mounted in standard I/O

cabinets providing Electronic Marshalling. CHARM I/O cards

can also be used for highly distributed I/O applications.

Emerson DeltaV™ SX Controller Easy to Use
