ABB System Controller Connect Overview

Overview

System Controller Connect is a software product

which is loaded and executed in a Symphony Harmony/Symphony Plus controller.

System Controller Connect supports Manufacturing

Message Specification (MMS) protocol in the Symphony Controller. The System Controller Connect

software is deployed as an MMS Client Application.

The AC 800M controller acts as a Server and responds to MMS commands sent from the System

Controller Connect client. The client application

reads/writes blocks of data in order to maximize efficiency. This is accomplished by forming scan

groups containing a set number of access variable

values.

The System Controller Connect interface performs

non-SIL based communications that can be used for

‘high speed’ real-time data exchange communication.

Features and benefits

• Transfer of 800xA tag values to the Symphony Harmony / Symphony Plus system using MMS protocol. MMS is a native protocol of the System 800xA

AC 800M controllers and thus needs minimal configuration effort and no additional hardware components.

• MMS access variables in the AC 800M controller

are supported in the user friendly interface. Entries are defined as either read or write.

• Communication rates are fully tunable to meet requirements.

System 800xA values now available within the Harmony blockware can be displayed in the Symphony

Harmony HMI.

System Controller Connect supports a fully redundant interface. Redundant failovers are ‘bumpless’.

Redundant Ethernet address of the AC 800M controller using RNRP is fully supported.

Bently Nevada SCOUT220-IS and SCOUT240-IS Portable

Description

SCOUT220IS and SCOUT240IS are intrinsically safe portable data

analyzer solutions designed to monitor machinery conditions in

hazardous environments. Both are rated ATEX Zone 1 / Zone 21

(for gases and non-conductive dust) and CSA Class 1 / Div 1.

These small form-factor, rugged devices take vibration

recordings and upload the collected data for detailed analysis in System 1.

This is a two-part solution. The SCOUT data acquisition module

uses Bluetooth to communicate with a wireless, industrial

handheld device running the S1 Collector app.

Vibration recordings are viewed and stored on the handheld

device. We offer these devices with hazardous area ratings up to

Zone 1/21 & Div 1. The handheld runs the Android OS, so you can

also use it like any smartphone or tablet to take pictures and

video, send text messages, check email, make phone calls, track

your location, create SOS alerts, and run other enterprise apps.

The high performance data acquisition module provides long

battery life, yet is light & rugged. It hangs out-of-the-way on a

shoulder strap, allowing you to focus on your job and move

safely between machines. The SCOUT220IS can sample two

sensor channels simultaneously, while the SCOUT240IS supports

up to four channels. Both also support tachometer or Keyphasor

triggering. These data acquisition modules provides up to ten

hours of continuous use, while supporting an Fmax up to 80 kHz

and 12,800 lines of spectral resolution. Both models are rated

IECEx/ATEX Zone 0 / 20 (for gases and non-conductive dust) and

CSA Class 1 / Div 1.

Bently Nevada SCOUT200 series High performance data acquisition

High performance data acquisition

Unlike most products on the market,

the intrinsically safe SCOUT devices

retain the same high performance

and long battery life as their non-rated COMMTEST brethren.

Ten hours of continuous use, while supporting up to: 80

kHz Fmax, 12,800 line spectral resolution, 6-Pack super fast

measurements, 4 channel simultaneous sampling, optional

tachometer. And the firmware updates automatically from

the handheld. Amazing!

System 1 software,your plantwide solution

Use System 1* to prepare routes, analyze

data, detect long-term trends, set and

detect alarms. Then synchronize data

with your SCOUT handheld using WiFi, file

transfer, cellular network, or a USB cable. But

System 1 doesn’t stop there, it’s the same powerful package

that’s coupled with a broad range of Bently Nevada condition

monitoring and protection products. One source of the truth,

modern and plantwide.

Bently Nevada SCOUT200 series Flexible handheld options

Flexible handheld options

Choose from multiple handheld devices

to meet your form factor, screen size, and

hazardous rating needs. Update your

handheld at any time, load the System 1

Collector app onto the new device and get collecting.

So easy to carry

Carry the data acquisition module using a

shoulder strap or a belt clip. Sensors mount onto sensor

keepers. Hold the industrial smartphone or tablet in your

hand, on a belt clip, or on a neck strap. So you can focus on

your job and move safely between machines.

Powerful and connected

Vibration recordings are viewed and stored on the handheld

device. It runs the Android OS, so you can use it like any

smartphone or tablet to take pictures and video, send

text messages, check email, make phone calls, track your

location, create SOS alerts, and run other enterprise apps. Try

doing all that on an old school data collector!
