ABB 3BSE013208R1 TB820V2 Modulebus Cluster Modem

S800 I/O is a comprehensive, distributed and modular process I/O system

that communicates with parent controllers and PLCs over industry-standard field buses.

The TB820V2 ModuleBus Modem is a fiber optic interface to the ModuleBus.

The ModuleBus Modem has an electric and an optical interface which are logically the same bus.

A maximum of 12 I/O modules can be connected to the electrical ModuleBus

and up to seven clusters can be connected to the fiber optic ModuleBus.

The fiber optic interface is intended for local distribution of I/O clusters

and where more than 12I/O modules are required in an I/O station.

Features and benefits

• 2 fiber optic ports to optical ModuleBus

• ModuleBus (electrical) to the I/O Modules

• Supervisory functions of I/O ModuleBus and power supply

• Isolated power supply to I/O modules

• TB820/TB820V2 has a rotary switch that selects its cluster number, 1 to 7. on the optical ModuleBus

Mark VIe Wind IS215WEMAH1A Hardware Tips and Specifications

Hardware Tips and Specifications

The sole piece of information retrievable from original, manufacturer-issued manual

materials concerning this product specifically only defines this PCB’s status

as a WEMA and BPPS board assembly.

This defined name, however, does provide several clues to the knowledgeable Mark VIe drive administrator.

The IS215 tag at the beginning of the individualized IS215WEMAH1A

product number indicates that this PCB has a special assembly version.

This is more likely than not due to this assembly’s incorporation of

the previously mentioned BPPB option board, along with the WEMA board itself

The IS215 tag present at the beginning of this part number actually has dual naming functionality

additionally asserting the IS215WEMAH1A assembly’s domestically-manufactured status

The WEMA functional acronym makes an appearance in the IS215WEMAH1A part number,

following its IS215 series tag was created with the intention of use as a convenient industry shorthand

is immediately followed by the “H1” series grouping tag in the IS215WEMAH1A product number

The H1 series grouping tag, similarly to the IS215 series tag, has dual naming functionality;

classifying the WEMA and BPPS Board Assembly as a Mark VIe board with group

one series grouping that is protected by a conformal style of PCB protective coating.

While the true meaning of a group one series grouping within the Mark VIe Wind

Turbine Control Series has been lost in verbatim, the conformal style of PCB coating

specific to this product has been well-documented.

Mark VIe Wind IS215WEMAH1A General Shipping and Revision Information

General Shipping and Revision Information

This IS215WEMAH1A printed circuit board is one that has been shrouded in relative mystery,

given its allegiance to the less-documented Mark VIe Wind Turbine Control System Series.

The Mark VIe Wind Turbine Series, while relatively new compared to many similar

General Electric legacy series printed circuit board available here at AX Control;

is quite the specialized series. The Mark VIe Wind Turbine Series was manufactured

by General Electric alternative energy shell company GE Energy,

which may be to blame for the lack of original, factory-printed instructional

materials for the IS215WEMAH1A PCB on the internet.

Unfortunately, this IS215WEMAH1A is known too for its generally-limited industrial

automation market availability, so a visual inspection of the hardware components

affixed to the base board of the IS215WEMAH1A is impossible at this time.

With that being said, a thorough, guided IS215WEMAH1A part number breakdown

can still yield quite a bit of valuable information to the prospective PCB buyer.

ABB TU810V1 Compact Product Suite hardware selector

The TU810/TU810V1 is a 16 channel 50 V compact module

termination unit (MTU) for the S800 I/O. The MTU is a passive unit

used for connection of the field wiring to the I/O modules. It also

contains a part of the ModuleBus.

The MTU distributes the ModuleBus to the I/O module and to the

next MTU. It also generates the correct address to the I/O module

by shifting the outgoing position signals to the next MTU.

Two mechanical keys are used to configure the MTU for different

types of I/O modules. This is only a mechanical configuration and

it does not affect the functionality of the MTU or the I/O module.

Each key has six positions, which gives a total number of 36

different configurations.

Features and benefits

• Compact installation of I/O modules using one-wire connections.

• Up to 16 channels of field signals and process power connections.

• Connections to ModuleBus and I/O modules.

• Mechanical keying prevents insertion of the wrong I/O module.

• Latching device to DIN rail for grounding.

• DIN rail mounting.

Woodward Description Digital Valve Positioner

The DVP is designed to control valves and actuators with either limited angle torque

(LAT) or brushless DC (BLDC) motor types. The driver positions based on resolver

feedback located on the valve or actuator. The DVP uses the latest in Woodward

control architecture, the robust controller to provide high-speed precise valve control.

The DVP is designed for plug-and-play installations on many valve types. Woodward

has integrated smart technology into the new generation of valves and actuators

called an ID (identification) module. Upon connection to a valve or actuator equipped

with an ID module, the DVP automatically reads critical valve-specific information to

set up the driver. After this auto-detection and customer configuration, the DVP is

ready for use. Both pre-manufactured connectorized cables and terminal connection

models are available.

The DVP is available in multiple configurations:

• Ingress Protected IP30 or IP66 models available

• Connector or terminal block outputs; conduit option available on IP66

• 125 Vdc or 24 Vdc power input options available

• EGD (Ethernet), CANopen, Analog (4–20 mA or 0–5 Vdc), PWM configurable input options

• Electric actuator driver

• Triple redundant EGD (Ethernet) or dual redundant CANopen digital communication options

• IP30 or IP66 enclosures

• ID module compatibility for plug-and-play operation

• Connector, terminal block, or conduit options

• Certified for International Hazardous Locations (CE Mark/ATEX, IECEx, CSA) and Marine
