OPC UA Connectivity

This OPC UA Client enables external OPC UA-Servers (e.g. PLCs) to be connected and integrated into the Compact HMI, so that the Compact HMI can read data from these OPC UA-Servers or write data to these OPC UA-Servers.OPC UA Connect is currently only supported for OPC UA-Data Access (DA).

OPC UA Client Connect Service

The new OPC UA servers enable external OPC UA-clients to connect to the Compact HMI to read and write OPC data.The OPC UA Client Connection Service is typically used to exchange data between the Compact HMI and third-party software applications for reporting and data analysis.OPC UA Connect currently supports only OPC UA-Data Access (DA).

Event History

Event History is intended to be an optional replacement for the previous Event Storage Service and provides essentially the same functionality for processing messages from services, connected systems, and workspace clients. Like the Event Storage Service, the Event History Service handles short-term storage of events and offers the following benefits:

Supports redundancy without the limitations of two service providers

Supports events for three months and the current month Approximately 5 million events can be stored with no limit per category.
