Introduction

The IOR810 is a gateway module that connects Symphony Plus SD-Series and HR-Series controllers to the S800 I/O.

As part of a Symphony Plus or Symphony Harmony control system.

The IOR810 provides an alternative way to use the S800 I/O with Sequence of Events (SOE) functionality.

The accuracy of the SOE timestamps is determined by the specifications of each S800 SOE digital input module type.

The IOR810 is the interface between the HN800 I/O bus (electrical or fibre optic) and the existing S800 I/O module bus (fibre optic only).

The core function of the IOR810 is to scan the S800 I/O modules and provide information to the Symphony Plus controller via the HN800.

The IOR810 connects and scans up to seven S800 cluster modems over the fibre module bus.

Each cluster modem can support up to 12 S800 I/O modules.

The distance between the IOR810 and the Symphony www.cniacs.com Plus controller is up to 30 metres if connected via the electrical HN800 bus;

If connected via a fibre optic HN800 bus, the distance between the IOR810 and the Symphony Plus controller is up to 3000m using RFO810 repeaters.

If using plastic fibre optic cables, the maximum distance of the fibre optic modular bus between the IOR810 and the S800 cluster modem or between two cluster modems in a daisy chain is 15 metres;

If HCS fibre optic cable is used, the maximum distance is 200 metres;

1000 m if using TB825 optical media converters and glass fibre cables.

The cluster modems can be non-redundant or redundant.

The IOR810 receives configuration information from the Symphony Plus controller using standard Symphony Plus function codes to specify S800 I/O data.

It will process inputs and outputs, analogue and digital signal types, pulse counters and Sequence of Events (SOE) data acquisition.
