A-B Rockwell 1771-WD Field Wiring Arm

About the 1771-WD

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1771-WD Field Wiring Arm is a field wiring arm.

The arm is used with a variety of modules, such as the Allen-Bradley 1771 Digital Contact Output Modules (1771-OW, 1771-OYL, 1771-OZL).

Allen-Bradley 1771 digital AC output modules (1771-OD, 1771 ODZ, 1771-OR)

and Allen-Bradley 1771 Digital AC/DC Input Modules (1771-ID, 1771-ID01).

Note that the 1771-WD field wiring arm is used to connect the modules. The wiring arm attaches to the pivot bar on the bottom of the I/O chassis.

The field wiring arm rotates upward and connects to the module, allowing the module to be installed or removed without disconnecting wires.

Disconnect power from the module before connecting to the Allen-Bradley 1771-WD field wiring arm.

To make the connection, swing the junction arm to a position on the front of the module where the locking tabs on the module hold the 1771-WD field junction arm in place.

The actual connections should be followed after this step. Note that there is 1 wire per terminal.

However, if more than one connection needs to be made to a terminal, an auxiliary terminal strip should be used.

Note that the field wiring arm terminal identification number is different from the bit number that controls the specific output.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-WD field wiring arm supports 7 to 9 pounds of screw torque on one inch.

To indicate that a field load has been applied to the field wiring, all of the module’s status indicators will be illuminated.

Note that the 1771 gauge wire connected to all terminals on the 14-WD field wiring arm may not allow the field wiring arm cover to close.

Therefore, a smaller gauge wire may be required when this occurs.

A-B Rockwell 1794-ASB Remote I/O Communication Adapter Module

About the 1794-ASB

The 1794-ASB is an Allen-Bradley Remote I/O Communications Adapter Module. It is part of the Flex I/O product family of distributed I/O modules.

The 1794-ASB has one (1) remote I/O interface. This RIO protocol is a legacy protocol that connects devices to the RIO scanner using a Biotronik 9463 or equivalent cable.

The module is compatible with Allen-Bradley legacy controllers such as PLC2. PLC3. and PLC5 controllers as well as the SLC500 automation platform.

It can also be used with modern Logix controller platforms as well as third-party devices and includes partner modules.

The 3-ASB sends and receives data to and from the controller via the Block Transfer Read (BTR) and Block Transfer Write (BTW) instructions.

Using these instructions, packets can be sent simultaneously or sequentially, depending on the desired speed.

The 1794-ASB supports communication rates of 1794.57Kbps, 6.115Kbps, and 2.230kbps.

The module’s expected supply voltage range is 4VDC-11.31VDC, including 2% AC ripple, compared to the nominal 5VDC supply.

It supports the installation of up to eight (24) Flex I/O modules for successful implementation of distributed I/O architectures.

The module features built-in status indicators such as a power indicator, adapter activity indicator, adapter fault indicator, and local fault indicator.

The module is mounted on a standard DIN rail and has an open housing, which means the 8-ASB needs to be mounted in a proper enclosure to protect the equipment from industrial components and contaminants.

A-B Rockwell 1794-IB32 Flex I/O DC Digital Input Module

About the 1794-IB32

The 1794-IB32 is an Allen-Bradley module that is part of the Flex I/O product family of distributed I/O components.

The module is an input interface device that allows field instruments and electrical devices (such as pushbutton devices, limit switches, proximity sensors,

float switches, process switches, relay contacts and contactor auxiliary contacts) into any automated control system or process.

The 1794-IB32 can accommodate up to thirty-two (32) DC input devices. It is a 32-channel current sink module.

Each channel has a *minimum* on-state voltage range of 192.VDC, **range of 31.2VDC, and a nominal signal level of 24VDC.

The 1794-IB32 can be installed with Flex I/O communication adapters such as Ethernet, control network, remote I/O and other adapters.

There is no limit to the number of installations supported by this module as long as the Flex I/O installation requirements are followed.

The 1794-IB32 is a high-density input channel. each of the 32 channels is equipped with an LED to monitor activity on each channel.

This helps to more quickly identify active channels and verify functioning input devices. These LEDs simply energize when a signal is received and turn off when no signal is present.

This module connects to the Flex I/O terminal base. The terminal base provides input and power terminals and DIN rail mounting slots.

Compatible terminal bases for use with this high density input module are the 1794-TB32. 1794-TB32S, 1794-TB62DS, and 1794-TB62EXD4X15.

The terminal bases also allow removal and insertion of the module under power.

The 1794-IB32 has a nominal on-state voltage of 24 volts DC and a range of on-state voltages from **19.2 volts DC to **31.2 volts DC.

Its **off-state voltage is 5 volts dc and **off-current is 1.5 mA. The 1794-IB32 has a nominal on-state current of 1.24 mA at 4 volts dc, ranging from *2 mA minimum to 1.5 mA maximum.

The nominal on-state current of the 1794-IB32 is 1.24 mA at 4 volts DC, ranging from *minimum 2 mA to ** 6 mA. The module’s FlexBus current is 5 mA at 30 volts DC.

Although there is no isolation between channels, the 1794-IB32 is isolated at 50 volts and is continuous between the system and field sides.

A-B 140G-G2C3-C15 Molded Case Circuit Breaker

About Allen-Bradley The 140G-G2C3-C15 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker in the 140G circuit breaker series designed to provide short circuit protection for a variety of control panel applications.

As with all 140G circuit breakers, the 140G-G2C3-C15 circuit breaker is sized in accordance with Table 430-152 of the NEC (National Electrical Code).

The 140G-G2C3-C15 circuit breaker is suitable for branch or main circuits operating at 600 volts AC (690 volts IEC).

It has a breaking capacity value of 25 kA (480 VAC) and a current rating of 125 amps.

The 140G-G2C3-C15 circuit breaker has a fixed thermal/magnetic trip device with fixed thermal and magnetic trip ratings of 500 amps and 15 amps, respectively.

The breaker will trip immediately when the current flowing through the breaker exceeds the breaker’s setting.
