Bently Nevada 2300 Vibration Monitor Series Description

Description

The 2300 Vibration Monitors provide cost-effective continuous

vibration monitoring and protection capabilities for small and

spared machinery. They are specifically designed to

continuously monitor and protect essential balance-of-plant

equipment assets in a wide range of industries, including: oil &

gas, power generation, water treatment, pulp & paper,

manufacturing, mining, cement, and a wide range of

equipment in other industries.

The 2300 Vibration Monitors deliver vibration monitoring and

high vibration level alarming. They include two channels of

vibration measurement inputs from various accelerometer-

and proximitor- type sensors, a speed input channel, and

outputs for relay contacts. Any channel may be used for

process parameter sensor inputs. The 2300/20 monitors

feature a configurable 4-20 mA output, as well as Modbus/

TCP, which interfaces more points to a DCS. The 2300/25

monitor features System 1* connectivity for Trendmaster SPA

interface configuration, which enables users to leverage

existing DSM SPA infrastructure. Envelop acceleration

demodulation is also supported for advanced rolling element

bearing and gear diagnostics.

The 2300 Vibration Monitors are designed for use on a broad

range of machine trains or individual casings where the

sensor point count fits the monitor’s channel count and

where advanced signal processing is desired.

The 2300 Vibration Monitors provide very low cost condition

monitoring and protection capability on small machinery. The

monitors can be used with proximity sensing to be used on

fluid film bearing machines and velomitor sensing to

monitor slow speed machines.

Bently Nevada 3500/65 145988-02 Temperature Monitor

The 3500/65 monitor provides 16 channels of temperature

monitoring and accepts both resistance temperature

detector (RTD) and isolated tip thermocouple (TC)

temperature inputs.  The monitor conditions these inputs and

compares them against user-programmable alarm setpoints.

The monitor is programmed using the 3500 Rack

Configuration Software.  You can configure the 16-Channel

Temperature Monitor to accept isolated tip thermocouples,

3-wire RTD, 4-wire RTD, or a combination of TC and RTD inputs.

In Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configurations, you must

install temperature monitors in groups of 3 adjacent

monitors. In this configuration the monitor uses 2 types of

voting to ensure accurate operation and to avoid single

point failures.

Bently Nevada Machinery Condition Monitoring 3500 Mini Rack

Mini Rack

A mini rack (12” wide instead of 19”) is also available and features 7 available monitor slots instead of 14.

Like its larger counterpart, the left-most slots are reserved for the Power Supply or Supplies and TDI Module.

The mini rack may be mounted in a panel cutout or, using an optional adapter plate, on 19” EIA mounting rails.

Bulkhead mounting is not available.

The standard 3500 Rack is available in 19” EIA rail-mount, panel-cutout-mount, and bulkhead-mount versions.

The rack provides slots for two Power Supplies and a TDI in the left-most rack positions

that are reserved exclusively for these modules. The remaining 14 slots in the rack can

accommodate any combination of monitor, display, relay, Keyphasor module, and communication gateway modules.

All modules plug into the rack’s backplane and consist of a main module and an associated I/O module.

The I/O module installs at the rear of the rack for panel-mount systems, and above the main module for bulkhead-mount systems.

Standard rack depth is 349 mm (13.75 inches), while bulkhead mount rack depth is 267 mm (10.5 inches).

NEMA 4 and 4X weatherproof housings are available when required for environmental protection or when purge air is used.

Bently 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System RFI/EMI immunity

Proximitor Sensor

The 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor has similar features to those found in the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximitor

Sensor.

Its thin design allows the user to mount it in either a high-density DIN-rail installation or a more

traditional panel mount configuration.

Improved RFI/EMI immunity allows the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor to achieve European

CE mark approvals without any special mounting considerations.

This RFI immunity also prevents nearby high frequency radio signals from adversely affecting the

transducer system.

SpringLoc terminal strips on the Proximitor Sensor require no special installation tools and facilitate faster,

highly robust field wiring connections.

The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System has an Average Scale Factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil),

which is the most common output for eddy current transducers.

Its enhanced side-view and small target characteristics give it a shorter linear range

than the Bently Nevada 3300 XL-series 5 and 8 mm Transducer System.

The 1.5 mm (60 mils) of linear range exceeds the linear range of the 3000-series 190 Transducer System.
