Watlow SERIES F4 ramping controller Set Point Ramp and Soak Programming

Set Point Ramp and Soak Programming

In response to customer needs, the Watlow SERIES F4

ramping controller has been enhanced with programming

features that offer more capabilities with less programming

complexity.

A programming guide provides step-by-step instructions for

building profiles, offering choices for step configuration. For

better operator recognition, profiles and digital I/O used for

events can be named using up to 10 characters.

Five step types including ramp, soak, jump, auto start and

end, offer complete programming flexibility.

Ramp steps can be based on time or rate. Ramp and soak

steps can be programmed to wait for up to four event inputs

and three process variables. As many as eight event outputs

are step selectable. To accommodate changes to thermal

systems characteristics over the operating range, up to

10 sets of PID heat/cool parameters are step selectable.

The auto start step can start a profile based on a chosen

set date, day of the week or daily. A jump step enables

movement within a profile or to another profile. The end step

terminates a program with the control outputs programmed

to specific process needs.

ABB CI869 Ability™ System 800xA® hardware selector

Features and benefits

• The AC 100 OPC Server runs in the Connectivity Server and requires the AF 100 hardware interface

• CI527A installed in the same node as the AC 100 OPC Server. In the other end you use the CI869 to

connect to the AC 800M controller network.

Advant Fieldbus 100 redundancy is supported by using two CI869s.

The CI869 is an AC 800M communication interface that connects

to the AF 100 field bus through the twisted pair (TWP). The CI869

expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, a communication unit,

and a DC/DC converter that supplies the required voltage from +24

V supply through the CEX-Bus. The CI869 can be configured for

both redundant cables and redundant communication interfaces.

The CI869 communication interface attached to the AC 800M

controller provides connectivity to other AC 800M, AC 160 or a

connectivity server over AF 100. An AC 800M controller with the

communication interface CI869 behaves as an AF 100 station,

receiving data from other AF 100 stations/devices. The CI869 has

integrated twisted pair modems. CI869 can also be used in an AC

800M High Integrity system.

ABB CI867A Features and benefits

Features and benefits

• The CI867A can be set redundant and supports hot swap.

• CI867A is a single channel Ethernet unit; Ch1 supports full duplex with 100 Mbps speed. Both master

and slave functionality are supported.

• A maximum of 70 slave and 8 master units per CI867A can be used.

MODBUS TCP is an open industry standard widely spread due to its

ease of use. It is a request-response protocol and offers services

specified by function codes.

MODBUS TCP combines the MODBUS RTU with standard Ethernet

and the universal networking standard TCP. It is an applicationlayer

messaging protocol, positioned at level 7 of the OSI model.

The CI867A/TP867 is used for connection between an AC 800M

controller and external Ethernet devices using Modbus TCP

protocol.

The CI867 expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, a

communication unit, and a DC/DC converter that supplies

appropriate voltages from the +24 V supply via the CEX-Bus. The

Ethernet cable must be connected to the main network through an

Ethernet switch.

The CI867A only uses one Ethernet port (100 Mbit/s) compared

with the earlier CI867. where two Ethernet ports could be used (100

Mbit/s and 10 Mbit/s). The CI867A module will only work with

System 800xA 6.0.3.3. 6.1.1. and subsequent versions.

CI860 ABB Ability™ System 800xA® hardware selector

If there is a need to have access to FF process variables in the AC

800M controler, connectivity between the HSE subnet and the

contro ler is established with the CI860 – the Communication

Interface FOUNDATION Fieldbus HSE.

Then FOUNDATION Fieldbus process data on HSE can be accessed

from the IEC 61131 applications in the AC 800M controlers. For this

purpose, the CI860 module maps the value and status parts of the FF

signals to the IEC 61131 application and vice versa.

The CI860 is powered by the processor unit, via the CEX-Bus, and

therefore does not require any additional external power source.

Features and benefits

• The CI860 can be used in redundant mode

• Up to twelve CI860 modules can be placed at one AC800 M also in redundant mode, and each of them

can be connected to the same or to a separate FOUNDATION Fieldbus HSE subnet.

• The ABB FOUNDATION Fieldbus Linking Device LD800HSE/LD 800HSE EX acts as a gateway between

the HSE subnet and up to four separate H1 links.

ABB CI855 Ability™ System 800xA® hardware selector

Features and benefits

• MB 300 network redundancy

• Clock synchronization

• DataSet communication

• Hot swap

• Per to peer communication

The MasterBus 300 (MB300) communication protocol used in

communication between controllers, and operator stations in

installations based on Advant OCS with Master software is also

implemented in the System 800xA controller AC 800M. MB 300

communication is realized in AC 800M by communication

interface CI855. which is connected to the CEX-Bus through a

baseplate.

The baseplate, TP853. houses RJ45 connectors for two Ethernet

ports, for network redundancy and provides a simple DIN-rail

mounting.

A key benefit of the CI855 interface is the possibility of having

peer-to-peer communication between new plant sections with

System 800xA using the AC 800M controller and existing sections

with MB 300-based controllers like Advant Controller 410. Advant

Controller 450. and MasterPiece 200/1.

ABB ACS880-01 modules Optimized for cabinet assembly

Optimized for cabinet assembly

All our modules (frame sizes R1 to R9) are built-on ABB’s

common drives architecture for easy commissioning and

use. At the heart of the drive is direct torque control (DTC),

ABB’s premier motor control technology. To optimize the use

of cabinet space, the ACS880-01 modules can be mounted

side by side inside the cabinet. Because the drive module has

built-in EMC filter, choke and braking chopper, design effort

is reduced and installation is made easy. The extensive range

of built-in and external options include EMC filters, encoders,

resolvers, du/dt filters, sine filters, chokes and brake resistors,

as well as application-specific software. Built-in safety features,

such as safe torque off (STO), reduce the need for external

safety components. Multiple drives can be daisy-chained for

synchronized drive-to-drive communication. With the panelbus

feature, several drive modules inside a cabinet can be accessed

and operated using one common control panel. Our offering

also covers an option for flange mounting with IP55 back

side protection. In flange mounting the control electronics

are separated from the cooling airflow for better thermal

management.
