About the IC200MDD846
The GE Fanuc IC200MDD846 Hybrid I/O Module is a GE Fanuc product that is part of the Versamax family.
The module is designed to increase machine flexibility by integrating discrete input and output points into a single module.
For the module to operate efficiently, the IC200CHSxxx carrier base is required.
The IC200MDD846 hybrid module has a set of 8 input points that draw current from the input devices connected to it and send it to the common line.
It also has a set of 8 output points with 8 output points capable of handling 2 Amp** current loads.
The input points of this hybrid module are positive logic type or source line type inputs, while the output points are type A relays which come with silver contacts, fixed coils and moving frames.
Each output point of the IC200MDD846 module is isolated. The module also features LED indicators corresponding to each input and output point.
The LEDs indicate that the device is switched on and off, while the ‘OK’ LED indicates the presence of baseboard power.
The IC200MDD846 Versamax Hybrid Module draws all necessary power from the rack mount backplane.
It is rated to supply 300 mA** and has a nominal input voltage of 120 volts AC.
It also has nominal output voltages of 5 volts DC, 24 volts DC or 125 volts DC and 120 volts AC or 240 volts AC.
The module has a voltage drop of 0.3 volts. A network interface unit or CPU is required to perform device processing.
The Discrete Hybrid Module combines inputs and outputs in a compact module to provide maximum flexibility.
Discrete input modules receive signals from input devices such as sensors, pushbuttons, and switches.
Signals from input devices such as pushbuttons and switches that have two states: on or off, open or closed.
Discrete output modules send control signals to devices that also have two states, such as contactors, indicator lights, and intermediate relays.
Discrete hybrid modules combine inputs and outputs in a compact module, thus providing maximum flexibility.
