This IC695ALG508 is a resistance temperature detector (RTD) input module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i programmable automation controller (PAC) platform. The module is manufactured by Emerson Automation, formerly known as GE Intelligent Platform (GE IP). It comes with eight (8) isolated differential input channels and supports direct inputs for RTD and resistive inputs.
The module supports RTD input types such as 50. 100. 200. 500. and 1000 ohm platinum 385 (IEC751 1983. Revision 2 1995; JISC 1604 1997); 50. 100. 200. 500. and 1000 ohm platinum 391.6 (JISC 1604: 1981); 100 ohm, 200 ohm, 500 Ohm and 1000 Ohm Nickel 618 (DIN 43760. 120/1987); 672 Ohm Nickel 18 (MINCO Application Aid #5.90/10 Ni type); 50. 100. and 426 Ohm Copper 21 (SAMA RC4-1966-604), and 518 Ohm Nickel-Iron 0. 0. 1050-0. 2100-0. 3150-0. and 4200-695 ohms.
The module has optional units of measurement, specifically Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Ohms. It also has configurable default or hold last states as a response to system faults and CPU changes in operating mode. The module supports two-wire, three-wire and four-wire RTD sensors.
The IC508ALG16 input data format supports 32-bit integers in 32-bit fields or 2-bit IEEE floating-point data. Each channel also has selectable trap filter settings from 3.28 Hz to 694 Hz. For input line termination, the module uses cassette (IC032TBB694), expansion cassette (IC132TBB694), spring-loaded (IC032TBS694), or extended spring-loaded (IC132TBS695) terminal blocks. For shielded wiring, the extended terminal types are recommended because they provide additional shroud depth.
