About the IC695PMM335

The IC695PMM335 is an intelligent module that is part of Emerson Automation’s PACSystem RX3i automation platform, formerly known as the GE Intelligent Platform (GE IP). The module is specifically designed for use as a motion controller module, capable of controlling up to 4 axes of motion and virtual or time-based axes. The module is used to interface with servo motors through position feedback provided by individual encoders mounted on the servo motor. The module is capable of controlling a variety of control loops, such as a position loop with an update rate of 500 μs; a Fanuc Serial Servo Bus (FSSB) speed loop with an update rate of 125 μs, and an FSSB torque loop with an update rate of 62.5 μs. Up to three modules can be connected to a single RX8i frame to control up to 40 axes of motion.

The IC695PMM335 has a fiber-optic FSSB port and fiber-optic I/O communications on the front panel of the module. It also features panel I/O terminals that accommodate four (4) 24VDC, optically isolated, general purpose inputs configurable as source/pot wiring; two (2) 24VDC, high speed inputs configurable as pull/pot wiring and two (2) 24VDC, optically isolated, general purpose inputs/outputs configurable as pull/pot wiring. Compatible encoder feedback devices for the motion controller module are incremental or absolute serial encoders.

In addition, this IC695PMM335 supports configuration of electronic CAM profiles, up to 3 interrupt routines per module, diagnostic logic blocks, runtime data logging, and is PLCopen compliant. In addition, the IC695PMM335 data logs can be uploaded and displayed using the Proficy Machine Edition software package.
