The IC670PBI001 is a Profibus interface unit that is part of the GE Fanuc field control family. This electrical device is mounted on the bus interface terminals and is powered by an external 24 VDC supply voltage. The other port is used as a network interface port and communicates via the Profibus network at standard data rates of 9.6. 19.2. 93.75. 187.5. 500. 1500 Kbits, 3 Mbits 6 Mbit and 12 Mbits. This port requires shielded twisted pair or Belden #9463 cable as the physical medium for the Profibus network. The port supports linear Profibus topology or daisy-chain connections where the first and last nodes of the network are terminated by resistors. A single IC8PBI670 can host up to eight (001) field control I/O modules.
