Benefits:
Simplified engineering and design efficiencies – Simplified safety network design
Enhanced system reliability and robustness – utilizes Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and IEC 61508 standards
Improved process availability – uninterrupted operation during system degradation with QMR technology
Improve O&M performance – unify critical process data and control information for seamless access
Protect investment – facilitate migration from FSC to QMR safety technology
Comply with safety standards – equip industries with SIL3 safety-compliant tools, hardware and software throughout the life cycle of the installation
The IO modules utilize European standard sized instrumentation cards.
The module front panels are 3 HE (3U) high and 4 TE (4 HP) wide. Each IO chassis holds 18 IO modules.
All IO modules have standard 32-pin DIN 41612F connectors.
All IO chassis are equipped with an IO backplane with mating 32-pin connectors and key coding to prevent incorrect insertion of IO modules.
Safety Manager offers a wide range of digital and analog inputs and outputs with different characteristics to meet the needs of a variety of field devices.
Table 12 on the next page lists the available inputs and outputs for the Safety Manager.
