The source and type of each channel is selectable during card configuration.

Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) sensor processing is used for the thermocouple temperature

channel and can be used for two of the eight channels, also selectable during card configuration.

All inputs are conditioned and compared to user-configurable alarms that are defined through Meggitt’s VM600 MPSx software.

A pair of AMC8/IOC8T cards is configured (i.e. operated independently) via the RS-232 port on the front panel of the relevant AMC8 card.

The AMC8 card also provides access to the CPUx card (ABE04x only) in slot 0 of the VM600 rack via the VME bus.

These interfaces allow the operator to configure the VM600 card, access measurements,

view detailed board status, upload firmware updates, and more.

The AMC8 card can drive the four local relays on the IOC8T card, as well as any of the 16 relays

on the RLC16 card using the VM600 rack’s raw bus and/or open collector (OC) bus.

These cards also provide analog signal outputs based on current (0 to 25 mA). Voltage outputs are also supported.
