The AX400 Series

The AX400 analyzers incorporate the latest technology to

provide highly reliable, flexible, feature-packed devices that

satisfy a diverse range of process monitoring and control

applications. The complete range encompasses solutions for

pH/Redox (ORP), conductivity and dissolved oxygen.

Models AX41x and AX45x enable continuous measurements of

one or two low-level conductivity points with simultaneous local

display and retransmission. The analyzers are used with ABB

2-electrode conductivity cells providing measurements with

exceptional accuracy and performance.

Model AX45x analyzers are dedicated to United States

Pharmacopoeia <645>.

AX400 Series analyzers are available for either wall-/pipe- or

panel-mounting and are rated to IP66 (NEMA4X).

ABB DriveMonitor™ Relax Benefits

Benefits:

• Diagnose early and avoid costly repairs

• Reduce on-site work – facilitate expert access

• Support root cause analysis – reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)

• Better drive access through user interface

• Optimize maintenance costs and schedule over the product life cycle

• Evolve from preventive (time based) to predictive maintenance

• Aggregate long-term statistics for optimization of process performance

Diagnostics with remote monitoring

Diagnostics with remote monitoring is included in a service contract with a local

ABB unit or directly with ABB Switzerland Ltd, Medium Voltage Drives Service Department.

The package includes the use of the ABB condition assessment tool DriveMonitor™,

and covers all the necessary hardware and software components.

The customer only has to provide an Internet connection.

Security

• All actions using remote access are only done with the explicit agreement of the

customer. Only the user’s nominated personnel and an ABB expert can access

the drive.

• Strict security procedures are followed and complex data encryption is used (VPN).

• Operation of the drive from a remote computer is not permitted (read-only access).

• DriveMonitor™ hardware is based on an industrial PC platform designed for a long

lifetime and remote accessibility.

2008 Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award

ABB received the Frost & Sullivan ‘2008 Excellence in Condition Monitoring of the

Year Award’ for DriveMonitorTM. With the award Frost & Sullivan recognizes ABB

as the ‘foremost company in the world electric drives market to develop such

a unique customer support system’.

ABB DriveMonitor™ Relax, we are always on site with you

It’s a known fact that downtime, resulting from the malfunction of electronic

systems which control or regulate the production process, causes irrecoverable

losses. Although modern systems are carefully engineered to provide a high

degree of reliability, components can fail and cause unscheduled shutdowns,

even in the best systems.

With DriveMonitor™ ABB experts are ready to go on-line and guide the customer‘s

maintenance engineer through a fast and efficient fault-finding procedure.

Diagnostic procedures can cover not only the converter itself but other parts of

the drive system as well – everything according to customer needs and preferences.

Furthermore, long-term monitoring functions deliver important information on

equipment status, tasks needed and possible performance improvements.
