B&R X20CP0410 Compact-S Coated Modules

Coated Modules

Coated modules are X20 modules with a protective coating on the electronic components.

This coating protects the X20c modules from condensation and corrosive gases.

The electronics of the modules are fully compatible with the corresponding X20 modules.

For simplicity, only pictures of uncoated modules and module IDs are used in this datasheet.

The coating has been certified to the following standards:

– Condensation: BMW GS 95011-4. 2x 1 cycle

– Corrosive gases EN 60068-2-60. method 4. exposure 21 days

The controllers in the X20 Compact-S series are powerful and compact.

The fanless, battery-free design of these controllers means they are completely maintenance-free.

The X20CP0410 is equipped with an ARM Cortex-A9 166 MHz compatible processor,

128 MB RAM and 256 MB internal flash drive.

There are 8 kilobytes of FRAM available for storing the remaining variables.

The controller offers a number of communication options via Ethernet,

USB and RS232. Optional RS485 or CAN interfaces are available.

B&R X20CP0410 Compact-S Programmable Logic Controller

The X20 Compact-S series of controllers is available in different versions. In this way, the customer gets the product that best meets the requirements of the machine both technically and economically.

The processor performance of the compact controllers ranges from 166 MHz (compatible) to 667 MHz.

The most economical models are equipped with 128 MB RAM, 8 kB non-volatile RAM and a 256 MB flash drive.

The most powerful Compact-S controllers have cycle times as low as 400 µs. 512 MB of RAM, 64 kB of non-volatile RAM, and a 256 MB Flash drive.

The controller offers a wide range of communication options via POWERLINK, Ethernet, USB and RS232. Optional RS485 or CAN interfaces are also available.

If an application requires additional interfaces, the www.cniacs.com controller can be modularly expanded with 1 or 2 X20 interface slots.

This allows the use of the entire X20 fieldbus interface product range.

The Compact-S controllers are fanless, battery-free and therefore completely maintenance-free.

The X20CP1586 is a powerful controller for the X20 system. 

This controller is especially suited for applications that require short cycle times, must process large amounts of data, or perform floating-point operations.

It is clocked at 1.6 GHz and comes with 512 MB of DDR2 SDRAM.

USB, Ethernet, POWERLINK and removable CompactFlash are included as standard features.

The standard Ethernet interface is capable of handling communications in the gigabit range. 

For more real-time network performance, the on-board POWERLINK interface supports Polled Response Chain mode (PRC).

The controller is equipped with a slot for an X20 communication module.

By using communication modules, various bus and network systems can be easily integrated into the X20 system.
