DEIF SGC 120/121 Single Genset Controllers

Introduction

About SGC 120/121

This document presents information necessary for operating DEIF’s SGC 120/121 genset controllers.

SGC 120/121 are modern genset controllers with user friendly HMI and full graphics LCD.

The controllers come with a highly versatile software. Extensive inputs and outputs support a wide

variety of industry standard features in diesel/gasoline genset applications.

SGC 121 includes electronic governing for engines with mechanical fuel systems.

With a rotary actuator as add-on for air/fuel charge control, SGC 121 can perform electronic

governing of the engine within ISO 8528 class G3 limits.

The DEIF Smart Connect software offers flexibility to configure each individual input and

output for a specific function or application.

All parameters can also be configured on the genset controller.

DEIF Load Sharing Unit LSU-112DG

LSU-112D features

► Built-in power and frequency transducer

► Constant power or isochronous mode

► LED indication of status

► LED indication for activated control

► 35 mm DIN rail or base mounting

DEIF’s Uni-line Load Sharing Unit, the LSU-112DG,

provides standard load sharing between generators

and interfaces to a governor through an electronic

potentiometer (EPQ96-2 or EPN-110DN).

Suitable for control of diesel and gas generators, for

instance, the LSU-112DG can control the power unit

in stand-alone mode (performing frequency control) or

parallel with other power units (performing frequency

and power control).

The LSU-112DG has built-in power and frequency

transducers that enable connection of external

equipment. Constant power or isochronous mode is also

possible. Speed control is conducted by two relays.

DEIF Automatic Genset Controller AGC-4

DEIF’s Automatic Genset Controller (AGC-4) is the

most comprehensive and flexible power management

and protection unit on the market today. A further

development of DEIF’s AGC-3. the new generation

controller is fully compatible with its predecessor and has

been designed to allow for easy, intuitive, and smooth

switch-overs for those looking to upgrade.

Suitable for a wide range of applications, the AGC-4’s

standard sequences include back-up power, start/stop,

synchronisation, and load sharing.

The AGC-4 is simple to incorporate into both new and

existing designs, customising the application to fit your

needs, for instance dedicating specific functions or logic

conditions to different inputs and outputs.

Technologically sophisticated, the AGC-4 is also the

world’s most robust power management controller,

successfully tested to maintain reliability and durability

in extreme weather and hazardous conditions. Approvals

include TÜV and UL.

DEIF DU-2/MKIII Paralleling and Protection Unit (24VDC)

Applications

The DEIF DU-2/MKIII Paralleling and Protection Unit (24VDC) is

suited for a wide range of applications including Power Plants:

Suitable for small to medium power plants where several generators

run in parallel to cater to a changing load demand.

Marine Use: It is used onboard marine vessels for management

of power generation and to have stable power supplies for integrated onboard systems.

Industrial Plant Use: It is used in factories and manufacturing units

for a continuous supply of power and protection of power-sensitive equipment.

Data Centers: It guarantees power backup works seamlessly at data

centers as that place needs continuous power supply in order to maintain operations.

Telecommunications: It is implemented in telecom facilities so that there

won’t be a break in the power supply towards essential communication equipment.

Benefits from Using the DEIF DU-2/MKIII

Benefits from Using the DEIF DU-2/MKIII

Enhanced System Reliability: The DU-2/MKIII ensures better system

reliability resulting from proper load sharing between generators.

This therefore reduces, hence preventing possible cases of outages and failure.

Increased Efficiency: The advanced load management feature for the generators

in the DU-2/MKIII minimizes fuel consumption as well as lowers operational costs.

Safety Assurance: Improved overall protection mechanisms on the DU-2/MKIII

prevent electrical faults from turning into equipment damage or unsafe operating conditions.

Easy integration: The flexible communication capabilities make easy integration

of the DU-2/MKIII into existing systems, allowing for upgrades without major modifications.

Reduced Downtime: The unit’s advanced protection systems allows for early detection of potential

problems,

which can be addressed promptly; thus reducing the chances of spurious and unplanned downtime.

DEIF DU-2/MKIII Paralleling And Protection Unit Key Features

Key Features

One of the benefits of DU-2/MKIII in paralleling control is that it allows several generators

to share load efficiently so that all units will contribute directly to the general power supply without overloading a single generator.

Comprehensive Protection Functions: The protection features have been incorporated into this unit and,

though numerous, include some of them being overcurrent, under voltage, and frequency monitoring among many others.

These safeguards prevent generators from getting damaged and keep the power system intact.

Simple interface: The DU-2/MKIII comes with a simplified format of the display which makes it easier to monitor and set it up.

All alarm signals and commands may be read and set directly on the unit by operators.

Flexible communication protocols: It also supports different forms of communication protocols

so that it will easily work well with other control systems and devices.

Therefore, it makes the DU-2/MKIII flexible according to any form of installation’s specific demands.

Robust Design : It can face the demands of industrial environments due to its robust material not withstanding dust,

moisture and temperature change without failure, so it surely provides reliable performance over the time line.

Programmable Settings : This unit has an option for extensive programmability.

Modifying conditions in protection settings and operation parameters will be allowed

by making modifications based on their particular requirements and operational conditions.

What is the DEIF DU-2/MKIII?

What is the DEIF DU-2/MKIII?

The DEIF DU-2/MKIII is a paralleling and protection unit designed for power generation applications.

Using it, several generators can be run parallel to each other while delivering seamless output.
