DEIF Digital Voltage Controller DVC 550

General description

The DVC 550 is a digital automatic voltage regulator, which

monitors and regulates the alternator output with rated field

current up to 7 A and voltage supply up to 277 V AC.

It is designed for alternators with SHUNT, AREP (auxiliary

winding) or PMG (permanent magnet) excitation types.

The DVC adjusts the excitation current in the exciter field

according to the desired alternator output.

The DVC 550 includes several protections and functions to keep

the alternator running in full safe operation.

The utility software, DEIF EasyReg Advanced, provides a visual

interface to configure values and parameters. The intuitive

interface makes it fast and easy to monitor and troubleshoot.

EasyReg can also be configured directly with the USB port

without external power supply.

DEIF TAS-331DG AC transducer for active or reactive power

Powerful, fast and compact, the TAS units in DEIF’s transducer range measure power

or reactive power on a 1- or 3-phase AC network and provide output signal as

direct current or voltage signal proportional to measurements for PLCs, PCs,

microprocessor control, indicators, alarm units etc.

TAS transducer ranges are micro-controller-based with one analogue output for

measurement of power, voltage, current etc. on an AC network.

Because these transducer rangers have no mechanical parts like potentiometers,

the calibration stability is excellent.

TAS transducers range can be delivered pre-configured to set measuring

values and ranges or un-configured for customer configuration using DEIF’s free PC tool.

DEIF DPS-1 DC Power Supply

Features

• Switch mode power technology

• Temperature range -40°C to +70°C

• Both AC and DC input

• DC Input 180-480 VDC

• 24V DC – 5/10 A output

• DC OK monitoring

To ensure stable and reliable operation of a wind turbine, the power supply is critical.

Most standard industry power supplies are not designed to cope with the real-life

operation demands of a wind turbine – operation temperature span, mechanical robustness,

tolerance towards ESD, etc. That is why DEIF Wind Power Technology has designed

a series of rugged DC supplies to support the second-to-none reliability of our control systems.

The power supplies feature compact and lightweight switchmode design and at the same time

– similar to conventional transformer designs

– they have no moving parts as they have been designed for convection cooling,

thus no maintenance-demanding fan is required.

The series of power supplies is designed for an operation temperature range of -40°C to +70°C,

supporting reliable start-up and operation regardless where in the world the wind turbine is operating.

DEIF The DM 400 Hydro main features

The DM 400 Hydro main features are:

Power Flow speed regulator

A regulator more suited for hydro turbines than the more common PID regulator.

The Power Flow regulator has been proven in numerous hydro turbine installations all over the world.

AC measurement, control and protection

The AC measurement system offers measurement of all AC values,

synchronisation and a number of generator and busbar/mains protections.

Turbine type: Francis and similar

Control of wicket gate position.

Turbine type: Kaplan

As Francis, plus control of runner pitch. The relation between wicket gate

opening and runner pitch is a configurable curve laid into the DM 400 Hydro.

Turbine type: Pelton/Turgo

Configurable sequential control of multiple nozzle/spear valves. Control of deflector/bypass.

DEIF DM 400 hydro Integrated systems

DEIF’s integrated Delomatic 400 Hydro (DM 400 Hydro) controller is primarily

a hydro turbine modular process controller, designed specifically for hydro turbine generator applications.

Features

• Hydro Turbine Controller for parallel with mains or stand-alone generator

• Valve controls (main/drain/fill)

• Water level control

• Relay or analogue output for speed/power control

• Turbine control, protection and supervision

• Generator control, protection and supervision

Control of auxiliaries

Apart from valve control (speed control valve(s), main valve, drain valve, fill valve),

the DM 400 Hydro also includes control of auxiliaries such as hydraulic power pack,

brakes, jacks, cooling system, lubrication system and so on.

Everything is carried out using parameter settings, removing the need for programming.

Due to the modular hardware of the DM 400 Hydro, it can be fitted with the

needed inputs and outputs to match the requirements in question.
