Comprehensive functions and interfaces

The three device variants of the XC300 have up to three independent

Ethernet interfaces for operation in different networks.

In addition, the RS485 and 2xCAN interfaces as well as 4xI/O channels

with their own power supply complement the functions for using the

device as a universal control and communication point.

Compact automation concepts

Combining the devices with the I/O systems from the XN300 range allows

user to create tailor-made solutions while keeping the footprint to a minimum.

Both the XC300 devices and the XN300 modules feature an attractive,

uniform design, which can be combined with Eaton’s innovative XV300

touch panels to implement powerful, state-of-the-art automation concepts.

The connection between the XC300 controller and the XN300 system can be

implemented locally or remotely.

Eaton XC300 modular programmable logic controllers

The XC300 is a powerful and flexible modular PLC that enables machine and

plant manufacturers to implement lean and modern automation concepts.

The three variants feature high processor performance, I/Os on board and

integrated RS485. CAN and independent Ethernet interfaces. In addition,

the VISU-WEB and the OPC-UA server make the device a communication

node in the implementation of system concepts based on Industry 4.0.

The XC-303 devices can also be flexibly expanded with the components

of the XN300 I/O system and create solutions with a high connection

density in the smallest space.

Flexible visualization

Diagnostic and other information from the machine module can be displayed on a central

HMI or an industrial PC using the web visualization function. The web visualization as well as

the PLC function are programmed using CODESYS 2 or 3. Remote visualization options

are available using CODESYS resp. GALILEO.

Comprehensive interfaces

The XC152 offers various communication interfaces, including: SmartWire-DT, CAN, RS232.

RS485. Profibus and Ethernet. Via the Ethernet interface, data can also be exchanged with

OPC clients, thereby facilitating the connection to a central control and visualization system.

Integrated solutions

The XC152 supports the proven SmartWire-DT communication system. It thus enables the

saving of control current wiring to the sensors and actuators and simplifies commissioning

through improved diagnostic options. Costs for design, commissioning and maintenance

are significantly reduced.

Eaton XC150 compact programmable logic controllers

With Eaton’s Moeller series XC152. implementing automation tasks is fast and flexible,

while keeping the footprint to a minimum. This is made possible by subdividing complex

processes into smaller functional units that are easy to handle. The compact devices

combine a powerful PLC with an integrated SmartWire-DT master and a variety of

additional interfaces. Diagnostic and other information from the machine module can

be displayed on a central HMI or an industrial PC using the web visualization function.

In addition, the Ethernet interface enables the exchange of data with OPC clients,

thereby facilitating the integration into modern automation solutions.

Eaton XC100/200 modular programmable logic controllers

The modular XC controllers of Eaton’s MoellerTM series included the product series 

XC-CPU101…, XC-CPU121…, XC-CPU201… and XC-CPU202… with the I/O modules

of the XIOC… series for local expansion.

The new generation of the modular controller XC-303. XC-204 and XC-104 is available

as successor systems for the implementation of simple to complex control tasks.

The local functional level of the XControlTM controllers as well as remote IO gateways

can be flexibly expanded with the I/O modules of the XN300 system.

With the new control generation, the gateways and the I/O modules,

Eaton offers a modern, universally applicable control system and thus enables machine 

and plant manufacturers to implement modern automation solutions with a wide range

of networking options and IoT applications.

Each Net station can process its own circuit diagram and a visualization application

The function blocks provide you with several functions such as arithmetic

functions, value comparison functions or up/down counting. All function

blocks provided are listed in alphabetical order in the Appendix on page 516.

If you wish to wire an MFD via your PC, i.e. create a circuit diagram, use the

easySoft-Pro programming software.

easySoft-Pro also allows you to:

• test your circuit diagram by simulating the power flow (offline test).

• create your visualization device (exclusively with easySoft-Pro),

consisting of screens and their association with the circuit diagram.

• transfer a program consisting of circuit diagram and visualization to a

connected and operational MFD-CP8…/CP10….

• after the transfer, follow the power flow and view the operand states

after the transfer during operation (online test)

• print out and thus fully document your circuit diagram in different formats

(e.g. DIN; ANSI or easy format).

With MFD-CP8…/CP10… you can create solutions for domestic applications

as well as for tasks in machinery and plant construction. MFD-CP8…/CP10…

is a modular and flexible device.

The integrated easyNet network makes it possible to connect up to eight

NET stations to a PLC. All devices with a NET terminal connection can be

used as NET stations. At present these devices consist of easy800/MFD

CP8…/CP10…, easySafety devices or type XC200/EC4-200 PLCs.

Each Net station can process its own circuit diagram and a visualization

application. This allows the design of systems using high-speed controllers

with decentralized intelligence.

With easy you can create a circuit diagram in ladder diagram. The circuit

diagram entry can be carried out directly on the device using the operator

buttons or on your PC using the easySoft-Pro programming software.

For example, you can:

• Connect N/O and N/C contacts in series and in parallel

• Connect output relays and markers.

• Define outputs as coils, impulse relays, rising or falling edge-triggered

relays or as latching relays.

Fast and easy configuration

The easySoft-Safety configuration software makes it easy to create both safety applications

and control tasks. The ‘easy’ device programming language is used for operation and configuration,

which can be carried out directly on the device via the integrated display and keyboard.

The memory card can also be used to transfer data to the easySafety devices.
