IC695ALG728 Analog Output Module PACSystem RX3i


The IC695ALG728 is an analog output module that is part of the PACSystems RX3i family of midrange programmable automation controllers (PACs), manufactured by Emerson Automation and formerly known as the GE Intelligent Platform (GE IP). The module is capable of providing voltage and current signals and has the ability to be configured via the High Speed Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) protocol, as it supports HART version 5.0.

The IC695ALG728 features eight (8) non-isolated output channels that can be configured as +/-10 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA, and 4-20 mA output signals with 14.9-bit voltage resolution, 0.20-bit at 15-9 mA, and 4.20-bit at 15-6 mA. The update time for each channel is 16 ms (HART communication) and 8 ms (without HART communication). The module’s output data format is configurable as a floating point IEEE 16-bit or 32-bit integer using 32-bit registers. The module is calibrated to 15.25% of full scale at 0°C and 30.60% of full scale when operating at 0°C. The output data format can be configured to use 32-bit registers with floating point IEEE 16-bit or 32-bit integers. In addition, the output build-up time is 2 ms for voltage configurations and 70 ms for HART and 23 ms without HART for current signals.


This IC695ALG728 requires an external power supply to operate. The appropriate power supply for this module must provide 19.2 – 30.0 VDC and 250 mA maximum supply current. The module mounts in any available slot in the RX3i chassis and can be located in either the local CPU chassis or the distributed I/O chassis. Other features of the module include clamping and alarm limits, alarm latching, and configurable output biasing.

The IC695ALG628 is an analog input module with High Speed Addressable Remote Sensor (HART) 5.0 functionality. This module is part of the mid-range controller family, the PACSystem Rx3i series with eight (8) analog input channels (configured as single-ended) and four (4) input channels (if used in a differential distribution line configuration). It comes with two (2) internal HART modems. The module’s parameters and configuration are completely software configurable and each channel can be individually assigned high alarm, low alarm, high high alarm, low low alarm detection and reporting to the CPU. In addition, positive and negative rate of change alarms and configurable interrupts for channel alarms and faults can be set accordingly. The module also comes with upgradable firmware and performs an automatic calibration each time the module is powered up.

The module’s power consumption is 450 mA maximum @ 5.0V +5%/-2.5% and 625 mA maximum @ 3.3V +5%/-3%. It incorporates continuous maximum overcurrent protection rated at +/-28mA and continuous maximum overvoltage protection at +/-60 VDC. The module has an open-circuit detection time of up to 1 second.

GE Fanuc IC695ALG628 Non-Isolated Differential Analog Input Module with HART (High Speed Addressable Remote Transducer) Communication for RX3i PacSystem PLCs provides 4 differential input channels and 8 single-ended input channels. It has 2 internal HART modems and features HART version 5.0 HART communications on each channel. It has a voltage range of 1 to 5 volts DC, 0 to 5 volts DC, +/-5 volts DC, 0 to 10 volts DC, or +/-10 volts DC. The current configuration of the input channel can range from +/-20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA. The IC695ALG608 is an analog input module for the PACsystem RX3i platform. When configured for single-ended wiring, the module is capable of providing up to eight (8) input channels and four (4) input channels for differential input wiring. This module is used with RX3i Central Processing Unit (CPU) firmware version 3.0 or higher and is configured using Machine Edition version 5.0 SP3 and higher. Available filter options for each input channel include 8Hz, 12Hz, 16Hz, 40Hz, 200Hz, and 500Hz, which are primarily used to normalize analog readings and eliminate fast fluctuations.

This IC695ALG608 is compatible with a variety of terminal blocks such as cassette (IC694TBB032), extended cassette (IC694TBB132), spring-loaded (IC694TBS032), or extended spring-loaded (IC694TBS132) terminal blocks. Fanuc IC695ALG412 Strain Gauge Input Module


The IC695ALG412 is a strain gauge input module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i analog input module. The module features twelve (12) isolated differential input channels and is compatible with millivolt signals (e.g., ±150mV or ±50mV) and thermocouple instruments (e.g., J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, or C types). The module can be used for direct connection to strain gauges and for temperature applications without the need for transmitters, signal conditioners, and other equipment.

The module occupies a single slot on the backplane and connects directly to the RX3i general purpose backplane only and directly to the PCI bus. The module also comes with internal diagnostics such as open circuit, short circuit, positive/negative rate of change, high, high-to-high, low and low-to-low channel diagnostics. This IC695ALG508 is a resistance temperature detector (RTD) input module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i programmable automation controller (PAC) platform. The IC695CPK400 is a programmable automation controller (PAC) CPU that is part of GE Fanuc / Emerson Automation’s PACSystems RX3i automation platform. The CPU module is a high-performance, powerful standalone device that operates without a traditional baseboard or chassis. The CPU still enables complex communications and architectures, such as control of remote I/O systems, communication with partner processors, data exchange with human machine interfaces (HMIs), monitoring and data acquisition systems (DCS), and other functions.

The embedded port supports different communication protocols such as SRTP client/server, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC-UA server, Ethernet Global Data (EGD) and PROFINET.

Fanuc IC693CPU320 PACSystem RX3i Processor Module


The IC695CPU320 is a GE Fanuc / Emerson Automation controller module. The module is part of the PACSystems RX3i controller platform. The controller can be used for efficient control of industrial machines and processes. It enables high-speed data transfer through the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) slot and supports serial backplanes for migrating 90-30 series I/O systems.

The IC695CPU320 has two (2) built-in communication ports that support RS232 and RS485 communication standards. These communication ports use the Ninety Series Protocol (SNP) slave mode to communicate with programming workstations, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The IC695EDS001 is a DNP3 substation module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i programmable automation controllers (PACs), formerly offered by GE Intelligent Platforms and now part of Emerson Automation. The module supports DNP3 slave communication over Ethernet I/P, allowing data exchange of up to 072.20 points and 000.3 events between DNP12 masters. Fanuc IC695NKT002 Component Ethernet Network Interface Unit


The IC695NKT002 is a component of the PACSystem RX3i product, commonly referred to as a kit. It consists of one (1) Ethernet NIU with catalog number IC695NIU001 and two (2) Ethernet Interface Modules with catalog number IC695ETM001. All modules in this kit are manufactured by Emerson Automation and were previously manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP).

The IC695NKT002 component is used to allow the PACSystem RX3i platform to communicate with 90-30 series modules or VersaMax modules and controllers. This provides an alternative method of migrating to a newer controller platform without completely replacing the system, sometimes referred to as a phased or partial migration.

The primary function of the IC695NIU001 is to provide connectivity to existing 232-485 series I/O modules via embedded serial interfaces that www.cniacs.com support RS90 and RS30 connections.
