DEIF XL / BW / BRW-2 Illuminated indicators

Introduction

This document gives guidelines for mounting, connecting and commissioning the XL or BW/BRW-2

instruments. XL and BW/BRW-2 instruments are different from the well-known instruments based on a

moving

coil system. The XL and BW/BRW-2 instruments are based on a so-called x-coil system with a rotating

magnet placed in the centre of two coils surrounding the magnet. The combination of a microcontroller

and the

cross coil system forms a unique instrument with a very high linearity. The major difference, compared

with the

traditional instruments based on a moving coil system, is that the XL and BW/BRW-2 instruments must be

connected to a 24 Vdc supply. This supply is power for the built-in electronics. Because the XL and

BW/BRW-2

instruments are based on a microcontroller, it is now possible also to use data communication as input

instead of traditional analogue current or voltage signals.

DEIF SGC 120/121 Single Genset Controllers

Introduction

About SGC 120/121

This document presents information necessary for operating DEIF’s SGC 120/121 genset controllers.

SGC 120/121 are modern genset controllers with user friendly HMI and full graphics LCD.

The controllers come with a highly versatile software. Extensive inputs and outputs support a wide

variety of industry standard features in diesel/gasoline genset applications.

SGC 121 includes electronic governing for engines with mechanical fuel systems.

With a rotary actuator as add-on for air/fuel charge control, SGC 121 can perform electronic

governing of the engine within ISO 8528 class G3 limits.

The DEIF Smart Connect software offers flexibility to configure each individual input and

output for a specific function or application.

All parameters can also be configured on the genset controller.

DEIF Load Sharing Unit LSU-112DG

LSU-112D features

► Built-in power and frequency transducer

► Constant power or isochronous mode

► LED indication of status

► LED indication for activated control

► 35 mm DIN rail or base mounting

DEIF’s Uni-line Load Sharing Unit, the LSU-112DG,

provides standard load sharing between generators

and interfaces to a governor through an electronic

potentiometer (EPQ96-2 or EPN-110DN).

Suitable for control of diesel and gas generators, for

instance, the LSU-112DG can control the power unit

in stand-alone mode (performing frequency control) or

parallel with other power units (performing frequency

and power control).

The LSU-112DG has built-in power and frequency

transducers that enable connection of external

equipment. Constant power or isochronous mode is also

possible. Speed control is conducted by two relays.
