Pioneer Magnetics 3U KEY FEATURES OF TRUE HOT PLUG

KEY FEATURES OF TRUE HOT PLUG

♦The guarantee of practically unlimited freedom from shut down.  A single

Pioneer power supply has a DMTBF of about ½ million hours.  Redundancy

gives a System DMTBF of over 100 million hours or 10.000 years.

♦A Redundant System (Each supply can carry the full load, or share the load

with a second or third supply).

♦No Switches or Circuit Breakers on the Input or Output side.

♦No deviation or loss of Output Bus Voltage during insertion or removal of units.

♦Zero Down Time.

♦A special customized design combination of Pioneer Magnetics’ Hot Plug Power

Supply and  Elcon Top or Lower Drawer Connector.

♦High Power Density to 21watts/in3

Pioneer Magnetics 3U POWERSHELF PRODUCT SERIES

The Leader in High Power Switching Supplies

3U POWERSHELF PRODUCT SERIES

A TTRUE HHOT PPLUG RREDUNDANT PPOWER SSYSTEM

19”, 223” & 330” PPOWER SSHELF

DESCRIPTION

♦Pioneer Magnetics’ True Hot Plug Power System eliminates down time by

providing glitch-free, continuous operation for critical systems that must not

fail.  A standard line of high reliability switching power supplies is combined

with an industry standard 19″ or 23″ rack to create an advanced hot plug

system.

♦True Hot Plug eliminates all switches and breakers.  The system never shuts

down.  Less than 10 seconds is required to remove and replace a supply.

Power supplies can be swapped at full system power by simply pulling any

unit out of the rack and plugging in a replacement.

♦With a common 5″ x 5″ cross-section, Pioneer power supplies are available

from 1kW Watts to 8.1kW. Standard output voltages are 12VDC to 60VDC.

All supplies offer Power Factor Correction to 99.9% in Single Phase AC

input or 95% in Three Phase AC input.  Built-in single wire paralleling gives

excellent load division among supplies, regardless of the number of active

supplies.  Load is automatically distributed as supplies are removed or added.

Wireless (Droop) current sharing provides greater reliability.

♦The PM1450 rack series offers unusual flexibility and capacity, while

providing a complete power system solution.  Up to three 5″ x 5″ supplies are

housed in a 19″ rack, and up to four supplies in the 23″ rack.  This means that

four 8100-watt supplies can provide 32.4kW of power in a single 23″ rack.

Stacking up five shelves can supply 162kW Watts of redundant power in just

31.5″ of rack height.  Custom system expansion and future upgrade capacity

are readily available.

Scanlab BAM-G1 Application examples

In addition to the right hardware, the right

software is also required for optimum control of

your beam position.

In the BAM software module, not only can the

correction of the beam position be activated

and monitored, but the beam position can also

be adjusted manually.

Due to the camera-based mode of operation

of the BAM, the software determines numerous

other beam parameters in addition to the position

of the laser beam on the camera:

• Rotation

• Ellipticity

• FWHM diameter

• 1/e² Diameter

Application examples

Expandability

Separate control of different wavelengths and installation of

several beam layers per system possible.

Beam encapsulation

Compatibility with the Pulsar Tube System and connection

option for gas or positive pressure flushing guarantee

dust-free operation.

Modular system

Modular system compatible with different application scenarios,

also for use on optical table.

Scanlab Beam Alignment Module – BAM-G1

Beam Alignment Module

The Beam Alignment Module (BAM) from Pulsar

Photonics is a modular solution for active beam

position stabilization. Effects on the beam

position due to e.g. pointing errors and thermal

effects of laser sources or fluctuations of the

ambient temperature can be measured and

actively compensated. Thus, constant process

results are possible even under fluctuating

conditions.

Due to its modular design, the BAM can be flexi

bly adapted to different machine types, designs

and applications. Furthermore, the connection of

a gas or overpressure purge and the use of the

Pulsar Tube System can guarantee a high degree

of dust-free operation, making the module suita

ble for laser sources with high pulse energy and

high beam quality.

Scanlab FBS-G3 Dynamic beam shaping system

Dynamic beam shaping system

Beam shape on demand

The FlexibleBeamShaper (FBS) is a machine integrable

beam shaping system for laser micromachining, that can

generate any user defined beam distributions.

To achieve this, the FBS is equipped with an electronically

controllable optical phase modulator. This allows the FBS

to be used as a photonic tool magazine with predefined

beam shapes on demand. In addition, the FBS is equipped

with a SCANLAB galvanometer scanner, so the generated

intensity distribution can be scanned over the workpiece.

These tools combined in a single system open up new

ways in laser  micromaching:

faster, more flexible and more efficient.

Scanlab Massive process acceleration through parallel machining

Massive process acceleration through parallel machining

The unique combination of a precise galvano metric scanning

system and beam splitting in one system allows to multiply laser

cutting, drilling or ablation processes without loosing the freedom

of geometry of the scanner. Using diffractive opticalelements (DOEs)

the incoming laser beam is split up into multiple beams, generating

multiple laser spots in the work plane of the scanning system.

This way multpile structures can be processed in parallel or,

for example, complex cut patterns can be realized while multiplying

the production output. The MultiBeamScanner is the solution to

significatly reduce production costs in laser micromachining of periodic

structures by up to two orders of magnitude.
