Beckhoff EL3681-0030 | EtherCAT Terminal, 1-channel analog input, multimeter

The EL3681-0030 EtherCAT Terminal enables measurement of currents

and voltages in a wide input range. The measuring ranges are switched

automatically, as usual in advanced digital multimeters.

For current measurements, two current paths are available, one of which

is a high-current path for up to 10 A. The current and the voltage

measurement facility can be used for DC and AC.

The alternating parameters are output as true RMS values.

The measurement readings can be read and processed with EtherCAT.

At the same time, the EL3681-0030 enables the measuring type and range

to be set via the bus.Excellent interference immunity is achieved through

the fully electrically isolated design of the electronic measuring system and

the dual-slope conversion system. High precision and simple, high-impedance

measurement from 300 mV to 300 V allow the EtherCAT Terminal to be used

like a modern digital multimeter.

In measuring applications in particular, the voltage to be expected is often

not yet known during the planning phase. Automatic adjustment of the

measurement range simplifies use and reduces stock levels.

The selected measuring type and overload are indicated by LEDs.

For the EL3681-0030. an individual calibration certificate is available, currently

as a choice of DAkkS or IS0 17025-compliant certificate. The certificate is issued

by an accredited service provider in collaboration with Beckhoff.

The individual calibration certificate for each device, in accordance with ISO

17025 or DAkkS, depending on the device variant, can be downloaded here.

These calibration certificates are issued for Beckhoff by an accredited service

provider. Recalibration on request.

Beckhoff EL3475-0200 | EtherCAT Terminal, 12-channel analog input, 4-port

The EL3475-0200 is a 12-channel analog input that, with a 24-bit

resolution and an input voltage of 333 mV, enables simple and

detailed measurements in supply networks. With four RJ45

connections that can each connect three current and/or voltage

transformers, the EL3475-0200 is multi-functional and the ideal

solution for keeping installation simple in demanding applications.

In combination with the SCL6xxx pluggable low power split-core

transformers, the EL3475-0200 enables configuration-free

commissioning, as the current transformer ratios are set

automatically between the transformer and terminal during

start-up thanks to the electronic nameplate.

With a single voltage transformer in the system, several EL3475

-0200 EtherCAT Terminals can work together as a distributed

power measurement system and perform any number of power

measurements without any loss in performance.

The EL3475-0200 also enables instantaneous value traces to

be recorded in order to retrospectively analyze any deviation

from standard values.

Beckhoff EL3453-0090 EtherCAT Terminal

The EL3453-0090 offers the “ExtendedRange” feature enabling the use

of the full technical measuring range, which equals 130% of the specified

nominal measuring range.

In addition, the EL3453-0090 comes with the option of transmitting the

times of the last voltage and current zero crossing to the controller via

XFC technology. This can be used, for example, to carry out switching

operations to suit the application.

With the aid of the TwinSAFE SC technology (TwinSAFE Single Channel)

it is possible to make use of standard signals for safety tasks in any network

or fieldbus. To do this, EtherCAT I/Os from the areas of analog input, position

measurement or communication (4… 20 mA, incremental encoder, IO-Link,

etc.) are extended by the TwinSAFE SC function. The properties typical for

the signals and the standard functions of the I/O components are retained.

TwinSAFE SC I/Os differ optically from standard I/Os by a yellow stripe on

the front of the housing.

The TwinSAFE SC technology enables communication via a TwinSAFE protocol.

These connections can be distinguished from the usual secure communication

via Safety over EtherCAT.
