Bachmann Panel PCs have been specially developed for industrial applications where reliability, performance reserves, and integration flexibility are crucial. Their robust design enables dependable operation in harsh environmental conditions – from production halls with dusty atmospheres to heavily vibrating machinery and decentralized energy-generation facilities with challenging climatic conditions. Panel PCs serve as the central interface between operating personnel, the automation system, and the process. This role requires not only a large, clearly structured process display but also an intuitive user interface. The platform demands high computing power and graphics performance for smooth animations and responsive command execution. At the same time, these operator devices often perform more than this core task – acting as universal IPCs that, in addition to visualization, can assume various other roles such as a security gateway, data concentrator, or engineering station.

The modular platform allows free combinations of display sizes, interface modules, and expansion cards. Depending on the task and software environment, panel PCs are available with Windows Embedded or Linux as the operating system, or as a selectable variant. The atvise product family and the Bachmann Industrial Browser with M1 webMI pro are particularly convenient and cost-effective to use. The visualization packages atvise® HMI and atvise® SCADA are available as a bundle, pre-installed and already licensed ex works upon request.

Prosoft PLX31-EIP-MBS EtherNet/IP™ to Modbus® Serial Communication Gateway

ProSoft Technology’s EtherNet/IP™ to Modbus® Serial communication gateway

allows high-speed bi-directional data transfers between EtherNet/IP™ PACs or

devices and Modbus®-enabled PACs or devices.

EtherNet/IP™ PACs include Rockwell Automation® ControlLogix® and

CompactLogix™, as well as several Schneider Electric® controllers. Modbus® Serial

devices are widely used in nearly every industry and include SCADA systems and

Power Monitors.

The gateway includes several features that allow for simplified integration, reduced

commissioning time and optimized performance.

Features

 Data prioritization: Multiple I/O connections allow you to set RPIs for status and/or

control data, optimizing Ethernet bandwidth.

 Includes an embedded EDS Add-On Profile, allowing for simplified integration and

reduced commissioning time.

 Includes a SD card slot (SD card optional) for storing configuration files.

This can be used for disaster recovery.

 ProSoft Discovery Service: This utility allows your PC to see the gateway and change

Prosoft PLX31-EIP-MBS4 EtherNet/IP to Modbus Serial 4 Port

The EtherNet/IP® to Modbus Serial gateway offers bi-directional data transfers

between Modbus Serial and the EtherNet/IP network. Our EtherNet/IP Driver 

uses Class 1 I/O connections and/or Class 3 Message instructions.

Protocol conversion gateways are the ideal solution for distributed networks

when adding a remote rack becomes too costly.

The PLX31-EIP-MBS4 gateways are stand-alone DIN-rail mounted gateways

that provide one Ethernet port for communication, allowing for remote 

configuration and diagnostics, and up to four (4) serial communication ports.

The PLX30 gateways also come with an SD Card slot (SD card optional) for

storing configuration files. In the event of a failure the SD card can be

transferred to another gateway reducing downtime. These gateways also

come with a wide input power range (10 Vdc – 36 Vdc), and an extended

temperature range (-25°C to 70°C ). The PLX30 gateways include all the

necessary cables required for communication.

driver features multiple client and server functionality, for faster

The Moog Broad Reach Gimbal Control Electronics (GCE) system controls and

drives two types of dual axis redundant actuators. The system contains two

primary and two redundant motor drive outputs. These motor drive outputs

control and drive small, three phase Wye, six state, and permanent-magnet

actuators. The GCE contains two primary and redundant incremental encoder

interface circuits. The GCE communicates with the spacecraft via a dual redundant

MIL-STD-1553B bus. The spacecraft provides the 31VDC nominal voltage and

the side enable pulsed discretes. The GCE assembly consists of two identical

Controllers circuit boards, two identical Motor Driver circuit boards, two identical

DC to DC converters boards, two Backplane boards and the chassis.

The GCE implements programmable micro-stepping to reduce jitter in increments

of 1.2.4.8.16.32 or 64 micro steps/cardinal-steps. Current in all phases driven as a

sinusoid for smooth movement. Optical encoder feedback is provided but not

required to command motor movements. Positional feedback, detection of skipped

steps, and state of health (SOH) current for each motor along with 8 variable

power settings per motor are implemented.

Moog Gimbal Control Electronics (GCE)

The high-reliability Gimbal Control Electronics System controls the motion of two

or more motors, such as used in solar array actuators and antenna gimbals.
