Alfa Laval Aalborg AV-6N boiler

Introduction

Aalborg AV-6N boiler efficiently recovers waste heat from exhaust

gases, making it ideal for steam and/or hot water production. This

boiler is constructed to recover heat from diesel and gas engines,

gas turbines or other heat sources.

The robust and highly efficient water tube boiler significantly

enhances the overall efficiency of power and industrial plants and

reduce the use of fuel, leading to remarkable cost savings and

lower CO2 emissions.

By utilizing heat energy from engine/gas turbine exhaust or

process industry flue gas that would otherwise be released

into the atmosphere, the Aalborg AV-6N contributes to a more

sustainable operation.

KEBA BL250/B Bus link module

The BL 250/B is a bus coupler of the Kemro-control system

It is used to op-erate modules of the system as decentralized I/O

clusters at other controls. The BL 250/B is connected with a

Host-control or another bus link modulevia K-Net. A maximum of

12 modules can be supplied and operated.

Behavior in case of an error at the BL BL 250/B

If an error occurs during start-up of the BL 250/B, the status LED

will remainon red and/or orange. In this case no K-Net bus traffic

will be possible, themodule must be exchanged.

Error states in the ongoing operation of the BL 250/B are monitored

bywatchdog. If the watchdog is triggered, it will activate a reset on

the BL 250/B and all inputs and outputs of the connected modules

will be reset to theirinitial status. The status LED of the BL 250/B

indicates red, the status LEDsof the other K-Net participants will

indicate green.

KEBA BL250/B Response to module errors

Response to module errors

A module error of one of the connected modules (e.g. HW-defect) is

de-tected by the BL 250/B and a corresponding status message is sent

to thebus master. The error is indicated on the status LED (red)

Behavior at sensor failure on a connected module

A sensor failure on an analog input of a connected module is forwarded

asstatus message to the K-Net master. The status LED of the BL

250/Bre-mains on green.

We are motivated and committed to working with you to create the best

possible solution that sets your ideas in motion – regardless of whether you

are looking to optimize an existing machine or develop a new one. We strive to

make things easy and seek perfection therein. This is ingrained in our thinking,

in our service, and in every detail of our products.

Automation

Our central automation systems enable simple integration into production

lines thanks to standard interfaces. In this way, you remain independent and

protect your investment.

The following components form the Lenze approach for a robust and efficient

automation solution:

Controllers

Lenze controllers provide a powerful, integrated system that enables

coordinated multi-axis movements. In addition, the system must be able to

assume the control function of a line process. Our controllers do this and

more effectively and safely.

LENZE Controllers, system components and engineering tools

Controllers

Competitiveness in mechanical engineering is becoming increasingly

challenging due to rising requirements in terms of energy efficiency, machine

intelligence, and market needs, along with a shortage of skilled personnel and

cost pressure. Our controllers with matching system components are facing

up to these challenges and are already equipped for the future.

The EASY Engineering Tools simplify the engineering of the machine and

support the selection of the most suitable controllers, frequency inverters and

motors – energy-efficiently and sustainably.

K-Nav Radar

The radar display unit is a type-approved radar /

ARPA on which approved nautical charts can be

displayed as an underlay to the radar video.

Raw data from the antenna is processed in the display

unit, which means that filtering is applied locally

according to the operator’s requirements. The display

unit tracks its own targets and also displays AIS

targets. If radar and AIS targets duplicate each other,

they are ”associated”: the system replaces them with

a single new target (and identifier). This ensures that

the operator cannot mistake a single ship detected by

both radar and AIS for two vessels.

To enhance radar performance and avoid blind

sectors, video from up to four radars can be displayed

simultaneously in a composite radar picture. The

system automatically tracks targets across boundaries

between the sectors covered by each radar.

Kongsberg K-NAV Radar signal distribution

Radar signal distribution

K-Nav Radar uses a high-speed network for collecting

radar signals at the transceiver and distributing

them to the display unit: a radar interface (RIN) unit

converts analog radar signals to digital signals at the

antenna location and sends them to the display unit

over the network. Processing of the video, including

target tracking, is performed locally by the display

unit, and filtering is also applied locally to give the

operator full control over the displayed picture.

Optional interswitching capabilities are available to

allow different display units to access radar data from

any antenna over the network. This option provides

fault tolerance with respect to signal processing.

To enhance radar performance and avoid blind

sectors, an additional option permits video from

up to four radars to be displayed simultaneously

in a composite radar picture. In such a composite

picture, targets are automatically tracked across the

boundaries between the sectors from each radar.

Kongsberg K-Nav system technology

K-Nav system technology

K-Nav products are tailored to the SOLAS market, meeting all mandatory

requirements from maritime flag states.

Design

Developed by users and human factor specialists,

K-Nav products have been designed to support critical

decision making by professional navigators.

Sensor interface

K-Nav products use a traditional sensor interface

solution based on serial connection from each sensor

to each operator station. A standardized sensor set-

up – with dedicated ports for the respective sensors –

ensures efficient configuration and installation.
