Woodward Remote Panel RP-3000XT for easYgen-3000XT Series Genset Controls

DESCRIPTION

Woodward’s RP-3000XT is a touch screen remote control

and annunciation panel for use with the easYgen-3000XT

series controls. It is particularly useful with the back panel

mounted easYgen-3100XT/3400XT, providing control from

the front panel with greatly reduced wiring to the access

door, while keeping high voltage connections located safely

on the back panel.

The RP-3000XT offers all the HMI resources that the

display variants easYgen-3200XT/3500XT offer, but with

touch screen technology. Irrespective of the easYgen

3000XT variants, this compact HMI solution connects to up

to 32 XT controls (select and access one easYgen-3000XT at a time).

The RP-3000XT offers switchgear builders, genset

packagers, and system integrators an off-the-shelf HMI option for any application where a secure remote control,

monitoring and visualization is desired, such as hospitals, data centers, offshore rigs, landfill and wastewater

gas-to-power applications to name a few.

In a paralleling application, the RP-3000XT provides the flexibility to connect each of the easYgen-3000XT

controls (one RP-3000XT for one easYgen-3000XT) or to connect multiple of the easYgen-3000XT (one RP

3000XT for a fleet of easYgen-3000XTs, accessing one at a time). The communication between the two devices

are always through Ethernet.

Woodward GC-3400XT Group Controller for large fleet of gensets

The data flow

among the group controllers is handled by second communication bus Ethernet B or Ethernet C

or Ethernet B & C. Through the decoupling of the overall data flow, the bus bandwidth is kept low

and the single genset operation is kept safe, should a group controller become the point of failure.

Furthermore, the group controller may handle a group breaker, to synchronize or prioritize dead

busbar closing. Additionally, the group controller supports the synchronization and soft loading/

unloading of a tie- or mains breaker. Comprehensive diagnostics, monitoring and system update

function are implemented to help fast com-missioning of the system.

Woodward’s easYgen-3400XT/3500XT is an exceptionally versatile genset control with complete

engine-generator control and protection, genset breaker synchronization, dead bus arbitration

and isochronous/droop load share capabilities. The easYgen-3500XT is available in two packages,

P1 and P2. both are compatible to work with GC-3400XT. Both the packages are available without

a display in a rugged metal housing suitable for back panel installations. A sophisticated touch

screen remote panel (RP-3000XT) complements them as an operator control panel.

Woodward GC-3400XT Group Controller for large fleet of gensets Description

Description

Woodward’s group controller, GC-3400XT together with easYgen-3400/3500XT genset controller

and easYgen | LS-6XT circuit breaker controller is designed to manage virtually any large scale

power generation system you can imagine. The trio enables you to command up to 496 gensets,

with complete genset management, synchronization, dead bus prioritization, load share, load

dependent start/stop and segmenting capabilities to name a few. These controllers come with

stand-ardized software that is simple to configure, yet easily customizable for individual applica

tions. Peer-to-peer communication between the controls and load share line redundancy at each

level ensures single-fail-safe op-eration of your power generation control system.

The GC-3400XT is based on a scalable multi-master control concept to combine up to 31 easY

gen-3000XT equipped gensets with one group controller in a group. The groups are scaled up

to 16. i.e. a total up to 496 gensets can be managed in an application. The data flow within the

group is handled by CAN or Ethernet or CAN & Ethernet bus. The group controller collects and

sorts the data of its group and acts like a “Big Genset” control to the other GCs.

Woodward easYgen-3100XT/3200XT Genset Control for Multiple Unit Operation DESCRIPTION tools

These tools include:

FlexAppTM– This feature provides the tools to easily configure the number of operated breakers: None, Gener

ator Circuit Breaker (GCB), and Mains Circuit Breaker (MCB).

LogicsManagerTM & AnalogManagerTM (LM & AM) – Woodward’s LM/AM enables to customize the operation

sequences and adapt them to specific needs. The LM/AM accomplishes this by handling a range of measuring

values and internal states, which are combined logically with operators and programmable timers and can be

cascaded through. This enables to create and/or modify control and relay functions.

FlexInTM– The analog inputs are configurable to operate with variable resistance sensors (0 to 2000 Ω), (0 to

1V) and/or 0 to 20 mA senders.

Flexible Outputs – Speed and voltage bias outputs are configurable to function with all speed governors and

voltage regulators. The outputs can also be used as freely scalable outputs (e.g. for driving external meters).

FlexCANTM– Advanced network interfaces ensure unsurpassed control performance – from engine control up

to total plant operation. The easYgen-3000XT Series is capable of working with common industrial interfaces,

including Ethernet, CAN, USB, and RS-485. The multiple communication protocols permit the easYgen-3000XT

Series controls to communicate with a vast majority of engine control units (ECUs), external I/O boards, and

PLCs. Modbus TCP, CANopen, SAE J1939. and Modbus RTU are supported.

DynamicsLCDTM– The adaptive and interactive 5.7″, 320×240 pixel sharp color graphical LCD display with soft

keys and a clear menu structure ensures intuitive user operation and navigation. Customizable screens provide

flexibility to program and visualize frequently used data at the press of a button. The face plate with tactile and

illuminated buttons enhances the aesthetics and ergonomics of push button operation.
