Fanuc 16-Point Discrete Output Module for IC670MDL740 Field Control Series

This IC670MDL740 is a positive logic discrete output module manufactured by GE Fanuc. The module is a general-purpose output module that is mounted on a Bus Interface Unit (BIU) to implement an extended I/O solution. It is typically used for energised output devices such as indicator lights, relay coils, solenoid driven devices and similar devices with low current ratings because the IC670MDL740 provides 10.30 amps of output current per channel and a total of 24 amps of output current per module over a voltage output range of 0-5 VDC and a nominal voltage of 4 VDC.

The IC670MDL740 is designed with individual status LEDs to indicate the on/off status of each output channel of the module.

The entire I/O group is fitted with a common fuse that is also assigned an LED to describe the blown fuse status. The module generates an inrush current rated at 2 amps with a maximum duration of 100 ms. The output channels have a minimum load current of 1 mA per point, an output voltage drop of 0.5 V, an output leakage current of 5.30 mA at 0 VDC, and a typical response time for on and off signal transitions.

The IC670MDL740 comes with an integrated terminal block consisting of 25 terminals. Each terminal is designed to terminate one AWG #14 – AWG #22 wire or two (18) wires using AWG #2 wire. By installing external jumpers on this module, the allowable wire size is reduced to AWG #14 to AWG #16.

Fanuc IC670MDL742 DC negative output module

The Field Control IC670MDL742 DC Negative Output Module is a GE Fanuc 5-, 12-, and 24-volt DC rated output module with 16 negative logic discrete outputs.

The outputs are used as current-sucking outputs to switch the load to the negative side of the DC power supply.Power for the IC670MDL742 DC Negative Output Module is provided by the bus interface module.

It is recommended that an external DC power module be used to provide the power required by the load. The module contains a 10 ampere rated fuse for connection to an external power source.

There is a clear potion on the top of the module for clearly visible LED indicators.

The IC670MDL742 DC Negative Output Module performs processing through the bus interface unit.

The bus interface module also helps to collect output data from a host device or processor.

Its PWR indicator LED can be used to check that the module’s backplane power is present and that the fuse is not blown.

The module’s logic power is received from the Bus Interface Unit. An optoisolator isolates the module’s logic components from the field outputs.

It consists of FETs powered from an external supply to absorb the current flowing through the load.

The outputs are capable of absorbing up to 0.5 amps per point. The total steady-state load for the entire module is 8 amps.

The IC670MDL742 DC Inverting Output Module has one set of outputs and does not provide isolation between points in the set.

It is supplied with an easily removable fuse to protect the outputs from high currents or reversal of power supply polarity.

Relay output module for IC670MDL930 field control module series

The IC670MDL930 is a relay output module from GE Fanuc’s field control module series. The module features individually isolated channels, specifically six (6) Type A or Normally Open (N.O.) contacts and two (2) Type C Normally Open (N.O) and Normally Closed (N.C.) contact outputs.

Each output contact is rated at 5VDC / 24 VDC / 125 DC or 120 / 240 VAC nominal, with an actual voltage range of 0-130 VDC, 0-265 VAC, 47-63 Hz, and a maximum load current of 16 A per module. The modules are available in a fixed-coil, moving-armature relay type with a maximum current draw of 313 mA.

The module has typical isolation ratings between input-to-logic, user input-to-frame ground, and group-to-group isolation, specifically, 250 VAC continuous, 1500 VAC for 1 minute.

The module has a maximum current rating of 2.0 amps for resistive loads, a voltage range of 5 to 265 VAC; 5.30 amps for 2 to 0 VDC and 31.125 amps for 0 to 2 VDC, and a maximum inrush current of 5 A for 20 ms, with a maximum load current of 10 mA per input The module has a typical response time of 10 ms to ON and OFF signal transitions, and if used with inductive loads, the response time is 10 ms per input. The module’s response time to ON and OFF signal transitions is typically 10 ms, and when used with inductive loads, the maximum switching frequency is 20 cycles per minute per channel.

GE Fanuc IC670PBI001 Profibus Interface Unit

The IC670PBI001 is a Profibus interface unit that is part of the GE Fanuc field control family. This electrical device is mounted on the bus interface terminals and is powered by an external 24 VDC supply voltage. It allows field control I/O modules to exchange data with GE CPU modules over a Profibus network, enabling a high-speed distributed I/O architecture.

The IC670PBI001 is equipped with two (2) 9-pin D-shell connectors, one of which serves as a Hand Held Programmer (HHP) port for downloading and monitoring the IC670PBI001. while the other serves as a network interface port for data transfer at 9.6. 19.2. 93.75. 187.5. 500. 1500 Kbits, 3 Mbits, and 3 Mbits. The other port is used as a network interface port and communicates via the Profibus network at standard data rates of 9.6. 19.2. 93.75. 187.5. 500. 1500 Kbits, 3 Mbits 6 Mbit and 12 Mbits. This port requires shielded twisted pair or Belden #9463 cable as the physical medium for the Profibus network. The port supports linear Profibus topology or daisy-chain connections where the first and last nodes of the network are terminated by resistors. A single IC8PBI670 can host up to eight (001) field control I/O modules.

Fanuc IC670TBM001 Auxiliary terminal block

The Field Control IC670TBM001 Auxiliary Terminal Block is an auxiliary terminal block manufactured by GE Fanuc.

It provides additional terminals for analogue and high-density discrete I/O modules.

It also provides additional ground, return, or common connections. It comes with 9 barrier type terminals.

Each terminal accepts 1 or 2 AWG #14 gauge wire with a 2.1 mm2 cross section.

It can also be used to provide additional terminals for the shield during field wiring.

The IC670TBM001 Auxiliary Terminal Block’s connection point connection provides enough locations to easily terminate two wires from discrete I/O devices on the control panel.

The IC670TBM001 auxiliary terminal block can be connected to a properly installed DIN rail.

During installation, be sure to install the I/O terminal block first before inserting the auxiliary terminal block into the DIN rail.

The auxiliary terminal mounting lugs are positioned on the right side of the DIN rail.

During field wiring, the chassis ground of any module can be connected to the ground terminal of the auxiliary terminal block.

For 3-wire or 4-wire transmitters, an additional terminal strip with IC670TBM001 auxiliary terminal block must be used.

The module terminals are electrically connected together from the inside. If additional common terminals are required for efficient field wiring.

This optional terminal strip is an optimal solution for field control systems.

It can be connected as an additional device to the side of the I/O terminals in the field control station.

Fanuc IC670TBM002 Auxiliary I/O Terminal Block

The GE Fanuc IC670TBM002 terminal block is an auxiliary I/O terminal block for devices in the GE Field Control product line, such as field control I/O modules.

The IC670TBM002 auxiliary I/O terminal block is typically used as an additional terminal block for I/O systems that require high-density discrete I/O modules and analogue modules.

It can also be used to make additional connections such as common connections, return connections and additional ground connections.

All terminals on the IC670TBM002 auxiliary I/O terminal block are internally and electrically interconnected.

Auxiliary I/O terminal blocks such as this one connect to the side of the host I/O terminal block, and they have panel-mounting feet that allow them to be mounted on a panel.

The GE Fanuc Field Control IC670TBM002 Auxiliary I/O Terminal Block has box-type terminals instead of the barrier-type terminals found on other auxiliary I/O terminals.

Its panel-mounting feet not only allow it to be panel-mounted, but also help it and its host device meet product vibration specification ratings, because they are as stable as possible during operation.

They also help it and its host device meet the product’s vibration specification ratings because they hold the Auxiliary I/O Terminal and its host device as stable as possible during operation.

The IC670TBM002 Auxiliary I/O Terminal Block can be field wired using instrumentation-grade shielded twisted-pair wire.

This wire is recommended because of its high noise immunity rating.
