Functions

The function of the keys on X-K8 can be configured as:

• Zone selection. Each zone represents one speaker line.

For different key functions, the LED indicators display differently. When

the key is configured as zone/group selection, the LEDs can indicate the

selection status, fault and working status. When the key is configured as

Description

The extension Keypad is designed for the Network Paging Station X-NPMS

or X-NPMK to increase its number of physical keys. It can help users to

improve the efficiency of manual operation. The function of the keys can

be configured as zone selection, group selection, broadcast task selection,

volume control or zone close, etc. Each Network Paging Station can connect

up to 8 units of X-K8 and each X-K8 has 8 keys and 8 indicator LEDs.

X-K4 Extension Keypad

Description:

The extension Keypad is designed for the Network Paging StationX-NPMS

or X-NPMK to increase its number of physical keys.

It canhelp users to improve the efficiency of manual operation

duringemergency situation. The keys of X-K4 can be configured to

triggeremergency broadcast task. Each Network Paging Station can

connectup to 8 units of X-K4 and each X-K4 has 4 keys and 4 indicator

LEDs.

TOUCH SCREEN

Users  can operate directly on the innovative  7-inch

color LCD touch screen without adding an extra key

module unit.With the touch screen, users can super-

vise  the  system  status,   select  broadcast   zones,

assign  zone  groups  or  other  broadcast   controls,

including setting playlists,  timing broadcastings  etc.

With   the   built-in   configuration   software,   zones

broadcast status or button functions can be configu-

red easily.

CONNECTIONS

X-618  system  can  connect with up to 250 X-NPMS

via  Ethernet.  X-NPMS   can  be   used   as  a  node

anywhere in the network. To  reduce wiring cost,  the

devices can be connected  into an  existing  network

provided that there is sufficient band width to reduce

wiring cost.

AUDIO TRANSMISSION

The  device  comes  with  a  detachable  gooseneck

microphone.  Users  can  change  different  types of

microphone   for   different   real-time   broadcasting

requirements.  The  received  audio  signal   will  be

digitalized to eliminate sound distortion during trans-

mission.

The built-in speaker  not only  can be  used for zone

monitoring but also full-duplex intercom with other X

NPMS in the network.

X-NPMS  supports  fail-safe  operation.  Even  when

the  connected  DCS  fails,  X-NPMS  is  still  able to

communicate  with  other  X-NPMS  and   broadcast

through other DCS  in th network.

INDICATORS

POWER indicator:  Show  power supply status,

green means normal .

RUNNING indicator: Show devices working

status, flashing green means normal.

FAULT indicator: Show faults of system.

If  there  is  a  fault, the  indicator will be  flashing

yellow. And when the fault  is confirmed, it  keeps

lighting yellow.

The  indicator  will  be  off  when  the  system  is

normal.

NETWORK  indicator:   Show  network status.

Yellow   means   network   connection  failure.

Flashing   yellow   means  network  has   been

connected  but the station  can’t communicate

with other device.

Green  means  normal.

MIC  WORKING  STATUS  indicator: show  the

working  status of microphone.

Yellow  means  a  fault  of  microphone.

Flashing   green  means  broadcasting  warning

tone.

Green  means  microphone  is   working.

The indicator is off  when  microphone is normal

and not  working.

The X-NPMS connects to the X-618 system, transmitting audio

and  control  signal  through the Ethernet.  It  is used  for  live

paging, audio task delivery ,  audio  monitoring  zones ,  and

intercommunication.

Safety And Robustness

DCS can detect errors on main power supply, backup power supply,

amplifier circuit, amplifier protection, software, communications, and

loudspeaker line in runtime. By locating the error’s occurrence, DCS

provides valuable information for repairing or replacing the malfunctioned

devices.

DCS supports power supply and amplifier redundancy. Built-in fuse

provides over-current protection to the main power supply. When a

short-circuit error is detected in DCS, the power supplied from main power

will be cut off and switched to the backup one. DCS has two backup

amplifier channel to standby for 8 main amplifier channel. It is configurable

for backup strategy by config software.

NETWORK CONNECTIONS

DCS can connect with other Ethernet based

system components and network to expand zone

number or from network via 4 10M/100M

adaptable Ethernet interfaces.

Features

Input/Output

DCS can connect up to 8 amplifier channels and support 4 x 8 audio matrix

for both local audio input and network audio routing.

DCS has 8 dry-contact outputs that can be used to activate external

devices. It has 8 pairs of loudspeaker line output where each one allows

multiple 70V loudspeakers to be connected in parallel. A record output port

is dedicated for external recording.

DCS also has 8 dry-contact inputs that can be linked with fire alarm

controller which trigger alarms and emergency evacuation announcements

via X-618 MEGA when fire happens. On the rear panel, there are 4 network

A/D audio input, which provide connections to external audio sources such

as CD/DVD, FM tuner etc. With addition X-ND100 Noise Detector, AVC

(Automatic Volume Control) function can be enabled so that volume output

in the implemented zones can be optimized automatically according to the

ambinent noise level varies. User can set the phantom power and input gain

of each volume control input on the rear panel.

X-DCS3000 X-618 MEGA Public Address

High Efficiency Power Amplifier with 24 VDC Backup Power Supply

X-DCS3000 Digital Integrated System Manager (abbr. DCS) is the basic unit

of X-618 Public Address System. DCS integrates plentiful functions such as

zone expansion, multiple audio sources support, audio file storage, net

audio, broadcasting, zone control, monitoring, fault diagnosis etc. With

powerful audio matrix structure, X-DCS3000 is capable of catering to the

most complicated application in a cost effective way.

AUDIO STORAGE

DCS is built with flash memory which can store

up to 60 minutes voice message. Via X-618

Config software, users can upload audio files for

later playback or audio synthesis. Volume

controllers can be connected with the DCS

contact outputs to adjust the zones volume or

force switching.
