Reliance AutoMax PLC Controller 0-57C421B Drive Module

The 57C421 is a Pulse Tach input module originally designed by Reliance Electric.

Depending on its year of manufacture, it is likely that this module was also sold by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance.

Neither of these original manufacturers no longer maintain this part and it has become difficult to locate.

Reliance Electric uses the 57C421 as an important part of the AutoMax Multibus I/O system.

This module uses eight resistors to perform various AutoMax programming tasks. These resistors are capable of reading from or writing to programming tasks.

The board does not come with on-board jumpers. The module has an input voltage of 5 volts to 12 volts DC. It has a maximum frequency input of 100 kHz.

It has 500 volts RMS isolation. It has a 24-bit comparator and counter. The system also has 3 channels of input pulses, A-phase, B-phase, and Z-pulse. These pulses can be used to track the zero position.

The 57C421 has a set of LEDs labelled COUNT STOP, LATCH, CLEAR, FORWARD, REVERSE and CCLK OK.

These LEDs monitor generated interrupts. There is a row of 20 female connection ports. Two dials are labelled.

One is labelled A, B, C, D, E, F, and G and the other is numerically labelled with numbers 1-7.

Reliance PSC7000 PROGRAMMABLE SERVO CONTROLLER

The SERCOS module can realize the SERCOS communication between the controllers the drives. 

The PG module has independently 5 channel each of input and output circuits (PG input and analog output) per one card. One PG module can control independently 5 axes, the maximum two sets of the PG modules can be mounted on the PSC7000 control card. Consequently, the maximum 10 axes can be controlled.

The DSP module with built-in high speed processors www.cniacs.com executes the servo control programs. At least one DSP module is necessary in the PSC7000 control card.

Three slots capable of mounting various modules are arranged on the lower part of the PSC7000 control card . Various modules such as the DSP module and PG module can be mounted into the slots as the need arises.

Reliance 45C920 115/230 VAC AC Power Module

Product Description.

The 45C920 unit is a power supply module manufactured by Reliance Electric for the Shark XL series.

Reliance Electric’s Shark XL is now a legacy series.

The 45C920 power module is one of three power modules in the Shark XL series.

The other two power modules are models 45C921 and 45C922.

The 45C920 power supply module, along with all other Shark XL power supply modules, is a must-have in a Shark XL rack.

The module has a number of terminals on www.cniacs.com the faceplate, all of which are individually labelled for connection to the incoming power cord.

The 45C920 power module comes with additional 24 VDC terminals for powering output circuits.

The 45C920 power module is rated for 115/230 VAC.

The 45C920 Power Module will connect to the smallest baseboard connector on the Shark XL rack in which it is installed.

The module is compatible with any Shark XL test tube rack.

On the side of the 45C920 power module, you will find an AC input power jumper and a green jumper below it.

To the left of the green jumper, there is a fuse.
