With their typically large control range and minimal excess air,

SAACKE burners are particularly efficient and highly available.

In plants that are already equipped with SAACKE burners, it is often

not necessary to replace the combustion technology in order to increase

efficiency and reduce emissions. For example, the control and regulation

of a plant can be improved with a seavis control system from SAACKE,

and retrofitting a flue gas recirculation system can optimize your plant

in terms of emissions.

SAACKE also offers measures to increase energy efficiency: Retrofitting

economizers, O2 controls, and air preheaters allows for more efficient

utilization of your plant, while a frequency converter for blowers reduces 

power consumption.

SAACKE GreenDock provides local emission free heat supply to your vessel as a

retrofit  solution for all kinds of heating media such as steam, thermal oil and hot

water. The technology used is compatible to boiler and heat generator systems

from all makers and can be provided by SAACKE on a turn-key basis.

ZERO EMISSIONS AT HIGH EFFICIENCY MAKING THE EXISTING FIRED

BOILERS FUEL TYPE IRRELEVANT IN PORT.

SAACKE GreenDock provides clean  energy throughout the whole port stay,

completely emission-free, while operating on shore power instead of fossil

marine fuels. Integrated into the existing system by means of a circulation pump,

the electrical economizer provides the existing auxiliary boiler with clean energy

while the burner remains switched off.

Efficiency and compliance:

Lower emissions and lower OPEX through steam generation from shore power

instead of marine fuels. Resulting  in significantly lower CO2  emission charges

and port fees.

Compact design

Series design with vessels layout in mind. Low footprint vertical solution and low

GREENER SHIPPING WITH WHRU

The compact and robust design of the SAACKE WHRU system allows

for flexible installation in the chimney – usually without major

modifications to the engine room. The two-pass design also allows

for particularly flexible operation of the auxiliary diesel engines

compared to other solutions. Maintenance requirements are minimal,

but the added value is all the greater: the economical use of waste

heat saves fuel and energy, thus significantly improving the

environmental balance.

SAACKE FMB-VM Fired Marine Boiler

Design Features

The FMB-VM is a water tube type steam boiler for medium power range.

The radiation heat transfer is performed in the membrane wall furnace

of cylindrical design, whilst the convection heat transfer is carried out

through special pin elements / rifled plain smoke tubes. The convection

part can be equipped with rifled plain smoke tubes on request up to

16 t/h steam capacity.

An effective natural water circulation is ensured in all areas of the boiler

by means of several external downcomer pipes connecting the water /

steam drum with the ring-shaped collector at the boiler basement.

The special spherical shape of the furnace top plate gives an increased

stability against ship vibrations and protects this part of the boiler against

partial overheating, because residues in the boiler water are led to the

downcomer connections on the periphery of the drum before they can

accumulate on the furnace top plate.

THE ALL-ROUNDER.

The SKVJG-M is a further development of the proven SAACKE rotary

atomizer technology – reliable, efficient, and versatile.

The burner is suitable for liquid, gaseous, and biogenic fuels and

offers a particularly wide control range for maximum efficiency.

It is available as a liquid fuel or combination burner and also allows

simultaneous operation with gas and liquid fuel, for example for the

use of boil-off gas or residues during gas release.

The SKVJG-M is also available for operation with green methanol

and other alternative fuels.
