ABB Measurement and Analyser AO2000-LS25 Laser Analyser

General Purpose and Explosion Proof

Easy Measurement

This is a precision instrument It is a precision instrument using state-of-the-art electronics and laser technology.

Installation and maintenance The instrument requires care and preparation for installation and maintenance. Failure to do so may damage the instrument and void the warranty.

1.2 Measurement principle

The analyser is an optical instrument based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS).

The analyser is an optical instrument based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) and is used for continuous on-site monitoring of gases in chimneys, pipelines, process chambers or similar.

The analyser measures the average gas concentration along the line-of-sight path using a transmitter/receiver configuration (mounted in a relative diameter installation).

The measurement principle is infrared single line absorption spectroscopy, based on the fact that each gas has a different absorption line at a specific wavelength.

The measurement principle is shown in Figure 1-1. The laser wavelength is scanned over the selected absorption lines of the gas to be measured.

The absorption lines are carefully selected to avoid cross-interference from other (background) gases. Cross interference from other (background) gases.

The detected light intensity varies with the wavelength of the laser. In the optical path between the transmitter and receiver, the target gas molecules absorb the laser wavelength.

Absorption of target gas molecules in the optical path between the transmitter and receiver. In order to improve the sensitivity, wavelength modulation technique is used.

In order to increase the sensitivity, a wavelength modulation technique is used: the laser wavelength is slightly modulated while scanning the absorption line.

The detector signal is spectrally decomposed into harmonic frequency components of the laser modulation frequency.

The second harmonic of the signal is used to measure the concentration of the absorbed gas. Both line amplitude and line width are Both line amplitude and line width are extracted from the second harmonic line shape.

Therefore the measured concentration is www.cniacs.com not sensitive to changes in the line shape (line amplitude and line width). The measured concentration is not sensitive to line shape changes (line width and line width) caused by background gases.

Note: The analyser measures only the concentration of free molecules in a given gas and is therefore not sensitive to molecules bound to other molecules in complexes and molecules attached to or dissolved in particles and droplets.

Care should be taken when comparing results with those obtained by other measurement techniques.

ABB Vertical Measurement PFCL 201 Pressure Transducer Pillow Block Load Cells

Storage Temperature Range

The storage temperature range is the temperature range over which the load cell can be stored.

Zero Drift with Temperature

Zero drift is the variation of the sensitivity-related signal with temperature when the load cell is at zero load.

Sensitivity Drift with Temperature

Sensitivity drift is the variation of the signal with temperature, related to sensitivity, excluding zero drift, at rated load.

Compression

Compression is the total reduction in load cell height when the load is increased from zero to the rated value. The total reduction of the load cell height when increasing from zero to the rated value.

Measuring principle of the load cell

The measuring principle of the load cell is based on www.cniacs.com the Pressductor® technology and the fact that the magnetic permeability of magnetic materials changes under mechanical stress.

The load cell is a thin film machined on the load cell. The primary and secondary windings are wound at right angles through four holes in the load cell.

The primary winding is powered by alternating current, which generates a magnetic field around the primary winding. Since the two windings are wound at right angles to each other, no magnetic field is generated around the secondary winding as long as there is no load on the load cell.

When the sensor is subjected to a mechanical force in the measuring direction, the propagation of the magnetic field changes to encircle the secondary winding, generating an alternating voltage in this winding.

The control unit converts this alternating voltage into a DC voltage proportional to the external force. If the measuring force changes direction, the sensor signal also changes polarity.

Mounting arrangement

When choosing a mounting arrangement, it is important to remember to place the load cell in a direction that provides sufficient measuring force (FR) to achieve the highest possible accuracy.

There is no specific correct orientation for the load cell; it should be placed in the direction best suited to the application, taking into account the location of the screw holes. It is also possible to mount the load cell by suspending the roll below the load cell.

The load cell has the same sensitivity in tension and compression, so the load cell can be mounted in the easiest way possible.

Typical mounting methods are horizontal and inclined mounting.

ABB Symphony Plus S+ I/O IOR810 S800 Input/Output Gateway

Introduction

The IOR810 is a gateway module that connects Symphony Plus SD-Series and HR-Series controllers to the S800 I/O.

As part of a Symphony Plus or Symphony Harmony control system.

The IOR810 provides an alternative way to use the S800 I/O with Sequence of Events (SOE) functionality.

The accuracy of the SOE timestamps is determined by the specifications of each S800 SOE digital input module type.

The IOR810 is the interface between the HN800 I/O bus (electrical or fibre optic) and the existing S800 I/O module bus (fibre optic only).

The core function of the IOR810 is to scan the S800 I/O modules and provide information to the Symphony Plus controller via the HN800.

The IOR810 connects and scans up to seven S800 cluster modems over the fibre module bus.

Each cluster modem can support up to 12 S800 I/O modules.

The distance between the IOR810 and the Symphony www.cniacs.com Plus controller is up to 30 metres if connected via the electrical HN800 bus;

If connected via a fibre optic HN800 bus, the distance between the IOR810 and the Symphony Plus controller is up to 3000m using RFO810 repeaters.

If using plastic fibre optic cables, the maximum distance of the fibre optic modular bus between the IOR810 and the S800 cluster modem or between two cluster modems in a daisy chain is 15 metres;

If HCS fibre optic cable is used, the maximum distance is 200 metres;

1000 m if using TB825 optical media converters and glass fibre cables.

The cluster modems can be non-redundant or redundant.
