The IC695CHS007 is a general purpose backplane that is part of the PACSystem RX3i platform, currently part of Emerson Automation and formerly manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). The backplane has one (1) slot for the IC695 power supply (slot 0) and PCI/serial based IO slots (slots 1-5) and PCI only slot (slot 6). The backplane supports IC695. IC694. and IC693 I/O and option modules or RX3i and 90-30 series modules. The modules are equipped with isolated 24 VDC terminal blocks, grounding points, and internal ground strips.IC695CHS007 is a general purpose backplane for the PACSystem RX3i family of programmable automation controllers (PACs). This backplane is a seven (7) slot backplane reserved for power and I/O modules. It natively supports any IO and option modules of the PACsystem RX3i series as well as the 90-30 series I/O and option modules.

IC695CHS007 Slot 0 is reserved for the IC695 power supply. Slots 1-5 are dual connector slots that support Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI)-type connectors used by PACSystem components, such as the IC695 module, and serial connectors www.cniacs.com used by the 90-30 series of modules, specifically the IC693 and IC694 modules. Slot 6. the rightmost and last slot, is PCI-only and is compatible with RX3i modules only.

The IC695CHS007 is ideal for applications with limited mounting space or for the implementation of remote I/O architectures. The module comes with a 24 VDC terminal strip located at the left end of the rack. Backplane grounding points and an integrated ground strip are provided for connecting the shielding and grounding connections of the rack-hosted module. The slot number is also clearly printed on this rack so that the module can be installed accordingly.

There are two (2) versions of this IC695CHS007. specifically the initial version, IC695CHS007-AA, and the subsequent version, IC695CHS007-BA, which include mechanical enhancements, specifically the chassis’ backplane PCI connectors.

This IC695CHS007 is for horizontal casting only. Other mounting orientations may affect airflow and ultimately system performance. This rack mounts directly to the chassis panel through the mounting holes provided in the chassis.
