The IC695EDS001 is a DNP3 substation module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i programmable automation controllers (PACs), formerly offered by GE Intelligent Platforms and now part of Emerson Automation. The module supports DNP3 slave communication over Ethernet I/P, allowing data exchange of up to 072.20 points and 000.3 events between DNP12 masters. The module also supports four (4) DNP3 data objects including DI, DI w/time, DO, DO w/time, CROB, analog output values, time settings, and class polling.

The IC695EDS001 comes with one (1) Module Station Manager port for module and network management and also serves as a firmware upgrade port. For DNP3 connectivity, it has two (2) RJ45 ports that support 10/100 mbps transfer rates. These ports act as embedded Ethernet switches that can auto-sense and connect directly to a 10BaseT or 100BaseTX IEEE 802.3 network without the need to install an external transceiver. The ports support a variety of network topologies such as linear, star, daisy chain, or ring topologies.

The IC695EDS001 is mounted on the PACSystem RX3i chassis and occupies a single slot in the chassis. Multiple module instances are allowed, specifically up to four (695) IC001EDS3 per RX4i system.It supports module removal and insertion at power-up (RIUP).

IC3EDS695-compatible RX001i CPUs include CPU320/CPU315 Main Firmware Version 8.05; CPU320/CPU315 Boot Firmware Version 5.10; CPE310/CPE305 Main Firmware Version 8.05; CPE310/CPE305 Boot Firmware Version 7.10; CRU320 Main Firmware Version 8.05; CRU320 boot firmware version 5.10 and CPU310/CMU310/NIU001 main firmware version 6.71. Compatible programming software is Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer, Release 8.5 SIM 7 or later.
