Built for Lightweight Versatility

The lightweight design of AKMA motors makes them easier to install and maintain, while their high

torque density in a smaller size delivers performance improvement across demanding applications

including:

• Food and beverage processing

• Pharmaceutical and medical labs

• Radar stations and antenna positioners

SFD-M

With the integrated SFD-M device providing multi-turn absolute feedback, customers can expect

positioning performance comparable to Hiperface® or EnDat® feedback—without added cost.

• Single-turn resolution of 24 bits and multi-turn resolution of 16 bits

• Energy-harvesting technology eliminates the need for battery backup cables, which eliminates

costly setbacks from unplanned downtime due to battery failure, retaining absolute positioning

information even when the system is powered down or during a power outage or shutdown

• Onboard memory enables plug-and-play parameterization of the motor to compatible Kollmorgen

drives reducing setup time and enabling faster commissioning

Features

• Four frame sizes for a wide variety of machine designs

• Designed for continuous torque from 0.5Nm to 14.5Nm with peak torque at 1.4Nm to 38Nm

• Plug-and-play compatibility with Kollmorgen controls and drives

• Meets UL, CE, RoHS, UKCA standards

• 316L Stainless steel shaft

• Stainless steel hybrid connector with integrated Viton seal supports a single cable connection

to the servo drive.

• Feedback devices include Singleturn/Multiturn Smart Feedback Device (SFD3/SFD-M);

Hiperface DSL (FS); EnDat 2.2 (FS)
