Emerson FX Series Positioning Servo Drive Systems

DESCRIPTION

FX brushless positioning servo drives are designed to provide trouble-free

solutions for a wide variety of industrial automation applications.

Each FX Positioning Servo Drive System integrates the position control, I/O,

feedback, servo amplifier and power supply in one housing.

The drive design allows the unit to operate on a wide range of voltage sources

without needing expensive isolation transformers.

Models in the FX Drive Series provide up to 1000 lb-in of continuous torque.

FX Amplifiers providing 8 to 120 lb-in continuous torque are UL Listed,

Canadian UL Listed and CE Certified. These amplifiers are also designed to meet

IEC801 specifications for noise immunity.

FX Amplifiers are matched with EMERSON Motion Control’s DX and BL Series of Brushless Servo Motors.

These motors utilize advanced mechanical designs and the latest in magnetic

material technology to yield exceptionally high torque to inertia ratios.

These motors are virtually maintenance free and can be ordered in splashproof IP65 versions.

Thermal sensors provide additional protection for the motors.

Emerson AMS Asset Monitor

Product Description

AMS Asset Monitor manages pervasive sensing while providing prediction,

protection and edge process monitoring capabilities, mounting at the asset to

reduce cabling requirements and installation costs. It accommodates up to

12 CHARMs including Vibration CHARMs as well as DeltaV CHARMs for process inputs.

AMS Asset Monitor features powerful out-of-the-box software functionality via

web browser for analysis, reporting, and alerting. This web-based thin client interface

features an internal Logic Studio with pre-programmed application solutions for

easy-to-understand analysis and alert reporting, and its Asset Studio interface delivers

asset information to the user’s mobile device or desktop thin client.

Although no additional software is required to monitor assets with AMS Asset Monitor,

it may be paired with AMS Machine Works software to deliver real-time updates on assets,

perform deeper analysis (as compared to native thin client interface), and deploy from cloud

architectures for ultimate scalability. Data from AMS Asset Monitor processed at the edge is

provided to AMS Machine Works on demand, on alert or on schedule, and can include waveform

data and status information for detailed analysis using the vibration analyzer tool in AMS Machine Works.

AMS Asset Monitor can be configured to send overall asset health status and alerts to AMS Optics via

OPC UA.

Emerson Online Prediction, Protection and Process Monitor

The installation of additional software on PC or laptop is not necessary. Web browsers

can be used to configure and control AMS Asset Monitor.

The input signals measured by sensors mounted on the equipment are connected

through sensor-specific CHARMs to the signal processing of the AMS Asset Monitor.

The preprocessed sensor signals are forwarded to the prediction unit for analysis based

on predefined rules with configurable parameters. The prediction results are output

based on selectable logics through output CHARMs or forwarded to other connected

systems through the Ethernet interface. The input sensor signals are also forwarded

to the unit for basic protection. The typical reaction time of the basic protection is

<1 second. Detected alarms are issued via output CHARMs.

Emerson’s AMS Asset Monitor manages pervasive sensing while providing edge

analytic results. It’s designed to mount at the asset, reducing cabling requirements

and other installation costs. For larger systems, multiple units can be daisy-chained

together to extend asset coverage.

Emerson’s AMS Asset Monitor is a field-mountable device

Emerson’s AMS Asset Monitor is a field-mountable device to collect data from driven

and non-driven assets by using different types of sensors such as piezoelectric and

eddy current vibration sensors. The monitor analyzes the data to determine machine

health and provide alarms where appropriate, and based on the machine state.

The AMS Asset Monitor is designed to carry a combination of up to 12 CHARMs –

VI Piezo CHARMs, VI Tach CHARMs, VI Voltage CHARMs, and compatible DeltaV™

CHARMs – to connect input and output signals.

AMS Asset Monitor can be used as a standalone prediction device with basic protection

functions, or can be integrated into a network of multiple AMS Asset Monitors with

connections to complementary systems such as Emerson’s Plantweb™ Optics platform.

The installation of additional software on PC or laptop is not necessary. Web browsers

can be used to configure and control AMS Asset Monitor.

The input signals measured by sensors mounted on the equipment are connected

through sensor-specific CHARMs to the signal processing of the AMS Asset Monitor.

Emerson Fisher™ WhisperFlo™ Aerodynamic Noise Attenuation Trim

Product Description

Fisher WhisperFlo trim represents state-of-the-art solutions for applications

that demand noise attenuation. Control valves with WhisperFlo trim provide

additional attenuation for aerodynamic noise in very demanding vapor or

gas applications with high pressure drops. A WhisperFlo cage with an appropriately

sized valve body is designed to reduce the noise level up to -40 dBA.

For special applications, -50 dBA attenuation can be achieved

Features

• Use of WhisperFlo trim provides excellent noise attenuation for very

demanding applications. It should be considered for those applications

that more conventional solutions cannot reach.

• Quick change trim allows fast and easy inspection of the cage without taking

the valve body out of the line. WhisperFlo trim is interchangeable

with standard control valve trim.

• Hardened materials or a unique wear surface construction are standard

to provide excellent wear resistance. The three dimensional flow path,

pressure-staging, and special passage shapes uniquely combine to equalize energy dissipation.

• WhisperFlo trim has higher capacity at conventional valve travels and

port sizes than tortuous path designs.

• Standardized port sizes provide capability to retrofit existing valves.
