Honeywell PRO3200 Main Controller

PRO3200 Main Controller

The PRO3200 main controller board (PRO32IC) accommodates a

card database of 100.000 cards, a transaction buffer of 50.000

transactions and is designed to operate off-line, making access control

decisions independently from a PC or other controlling devices.

The PRO32IC supports any combination of up to 16 I/O or reader

boards to monitor alarm input points, relay output points and access

control reader interface points. Connectivity to the host computer with

WIN-PAK SE 4.0 / PE 4.0 or higher is accomplished via on board

Ethernet port, serial (RS232) communication or dial-up modem.

PRO3200 Modules

The PRO3200 professional series family of access control modules

is connected to an interface with the main controller (PRO32IC)

through a supervised RS485 bus. Hardware interface

configuration options are stored in the main controller and may be

directly controlled via operator intervention, time schedules or

event-based procedures. The modules have been designed to

allow for a modular customisable solution.

Honeywell PRO3200 Access Control Hardware

PRO3200 Access Control Hardware

As a part of the WIN-PAK® software controlled hardware family the

PRO3200 professional modular access control hardware is an

advanced access control panel capable of providing solutions where

installation space is at a premium. The design of the hardware is

modular and flexible and can be tailored to meet a wide range of

applications, while optimising cost and mounting space.

The PRO3200 system is connected to a host computer with WIN

PAK for system configuration, alarm monitoring and direct control.

Using WIN-PAK SE 4.0 / PE 4.0 or higher, at least 255 PRO3200

systems can be connected to create large access control solutions.

Every PRO3200 consists of a main controller, one or more

enclosures, power supplies and reader or I/O modules. A PRO3200

system can be set up as an access control system with up to 32

doors, protected with one reader each door. If additional inputs and

outputs are needed for extra control within the PRO3200 system, the

number of controllable doors will be limited to less than 32 doors.

The access control limitations depend on the amount of extra

controllable inputs and outputs needed within the modular

configuration of up to 16 I/O or reader boards.

Designed to fit into tight spaces, the PRO3200 with its rack-mount

design provides high-density installations for up to 16 doors per

cabinet in a small space. The design makes it ideal for applications

where eight or more doors are needed. Metal enclosures for up to

two modules are available for remote located controllable doors,

connected via a supervised RS485 bus.

Honeywell UDC3200 Math Functions

Math Functions

Algorithm—A pre-configured algorithm is available for easy implementation.

This includes the capability of using a Ratio and Bias with any input.

You can select from the following menu:

Feedforward Summer—Uses either input, followed by a Ratio/Bias calculation,

summed directly with the computed PID output value to provide a resultant

output to the final control element (standard feature).

Weighted Average —Computes the weighted average of a PV or SP for

the control algorithm from two inputs (standard feature).

Feedforward Multiplier—Uses any input, multiplied by the calculated PID

output to provide a resultant output which is sent to the final control

element (standard feature).

Summer/Subtractor—Will add or subtract inputs with the result used as

the derived PV.

Multiplier/Divider—Uses the analog inputs to calculate a derived PV.

Available with or without Square Root.

Input High/Low Select—Specifies the PV input as the higher or lower of

the two inputs.

Honeywell UDC3200 Universal Digital Controller

Analog Inputs

The UDC3200 has two analog inputs with a typical accuracy of ±0.20%

of full scale input and a typical resolution of 16 bits.  Both analog inputs

are sampled six times per second (every 166 ms).

The first, or Process Variable input, can be one of the various thermocouple,

RTD, Radiamatic or linear actuations. Linear actuations have thermocouple,

RTD, and Radiamatic transmitter characterization capability as a standard

feature. Linear actuations also have square root capability.

The optional second input is isolated and accepts the same actuations as

input one, or it provides the Slidewire input for Position Proportional control.

All actuations and characterizations are keyboard configurable.

Cold junction compensation is provided for thermocouple type inputs.

Upscale, downscale or failsafe sensor break protection is keyboard configurable.

A configurable digital filter of 0 to 120 seconds provides input signal damping.

Thermocouple Health – In addition to the standard configurable upscale, downscale

or failsafe output burnout selections, the condition of the thermocouple can be

monitored to determine if it is good, failing or in danger of imminent failure.

Honeywell UDC3200 New Power and Flexibility

Overview

New Power and Flexibility

The UDC3200 Universal Digital Controller packs new powerful features

in the popular 1/4 DIN size.

Unmatched application power includes:

Infrared (IR) Configuration interface, two universal analog inputs and

a Math Algorithm. When these are combined with the Accutune III™

tuning with fuzzy logic overshoot suppression, the result is price/

performance leadership.

Application flexibility is assured by the universal analog inputs, universal

AC power supply, two digital inputs, a maximum of five analog and digital

outputs, RS422/485 Modbus RTU or Ethernet 10Base-T TCP/IP

communication protocols, simple configuration plus total field upgrade

capability for any optional feature.

Honeywell PRO3200 Professional Series Access Modules

The PRO32IN interfaces with the intelligent control module

(PRO32IC) providing 16 supervised alarm inputs and a

dedicated power fail and panel tamper when tile mounted.

An analog to digital converter samples the input values and

the digitized result is filtered and processed. Filter

parameters are configurable for each input point, resulting

in the ability to specify a custom End-Of-Line (EOL)

resistance value, sensitivity range and timing parameter.

The PRO3200 Series of access modules are designed to

accommodate various mounting options. Units can be

mounted in a rack configuration (PRO22ENC1.

PRO22ENC2 and PRO22ENC5) when space is limited, or in

a tile-mount configuration (PRO22ENC3).

• The PRO22ENC1 is a wall-mounted enclosuree rack uni

• The PRO22ENC2 is a 19″ rack-mounted enclosuree rack uni

• The PRO22ENC5 is a rack unit which fits inside a

customer’s enclosure

Honeywell PRO3200 SYSTEM OVERVIEW

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The PRO3200 professional series family of access control

modules is designed for high density installations.

Supporting up to 16 readers per enclosure and 32 readers

per intelligent controller along with up to 100.000 card

capacity provides a combination of small installation

footprint and superior cost per door ratio.

The PRO22R1 provides I/O support for one card access

reader, while the PRO32R2 supports two card access

readers. Both interface with the intelligent control module

(PRO32IC). In the event that communication to the

intelligent control module is lost, the card access readers

can be individually configured to allow entrance based on

security needs. This customization allows for a door to be

configured as locked, unlocked, or access only via valid

facility code.

The PRO32OUT interfaces with the intelligent control

module

(PRO32IC) providing up to 12 or 16. Form C, 12 VDC, 2A

relay output controls depending if the board is rack or tile

mounted and power fail and panel tamper when tile

mounted. Relays may be used for elevator control, status

annunciation and for general facility control, such as door

monitoring.
