Honeywell TR20 REDUCED COSTS

REDUCED COSTS

The TR20 family of wireless sensors makes a huge impact on the

material and labor costs of every job, reducing them significantly.

The material costs are clear — you won’t need to keep buying wire

for every job, and you also won’t need to keep materials on hand

for patching walls and repairing trim damage. The savings in labor

are even more significant. All the time spent pulling wires, dealing

with unforeseen obstructions and more is gone. The sensors

are wireless. And the connection of the receiver to the controller

is painless. You’ll not only save time, but you’ll be able to add

business by taking on more jobs.

• No Field Configuration — The sensor and receiver are

shipped together as a kit, so you never have to worry about

having the wrong pairing. Just in case, dip switches let you pair

any sensor to any receiver.

• Easy Installation — Just put up the wall module and wire

the receiver to the controller, and communication starts

automatically.

• Signal Strength Indicator — An LED indicator on the sensor

lets you know immediately if the RF signal is strong, eliminating

guesswork.

• Up To 7.5-Year Battery Life — Lowers your maintenance

costs. (7.5 years with Lithium, 5 years with Alkaline, provided)

ABB L&W ZD Tensile Tester

Even strength within specifications and across the reel width

L&W ZD Tensile Tester measures internal bond strength – or Z-direction (ZD)

tensile forces – of paper and multi-layered paper products, such as linerboard

and box board. The tester uses an automated method and you obtain fast

and reliable measurement values, which make it possible to achieve uniform

strength across the reel width. All in compliance with customer specifications,

as well as in accordance with applicable standards (ISO, TAPPI, SCAN).

Full control of the internal bond strength, is particularly important in the

production of multi-layered paper products. Low or unevenly distributed

internal bond strength can cause material splitting in an offset press with

sticky printing ink. In the creasing or scoring operation of boxboard the

material should delaminate “just enough”. Otherwise after folding there

will be poor folding lines or cracks in the outer layer. Internal bond strength

tests can predict this.

Enough internal bond strength is also needed in heat-set web offset printing

of highly coated paper. Otherwise blistering will occur when moisture will try

to escape during the heating process. Too high internal bond strength impedes

the creasing of the boxboard and high values also mean a waste of raw material

and energy. In other words, the aim is to achieve an even strength within

specifications and across the reel width. L&W ZD Tensile Tester can achieve this.

ABB Zirconia Oxygen Analyzer High Temperature Version ZDT–GP Series

The ZDT Oxygen Analyzer is designed for continuous

monitoring of oxygen content in applications using ‘in situ’

ZGP2 probes.

Operation and programming of the ZDT Analyzer is via four

tactile membrane switches and a digital display located on the

front of the instrument. Two l.e.d.’s on the front panel provide

local alarm indication.

In operation, the instrument can display measured % oxygen,

cell mV, or cell temperature. Set up of alarm, retransmission

and calibation parameters is achieved in programming mode,

where key parameters are protected by a five-digit security

code.

Measured %O2 values can be retransmitted to remote

equipment using the retransmission output facility. The range

of values retransmitted can be set anywhere within the

instrument’s display range of 0 to 25% O2. subject to limits

detailed in Section 7.7.

Remote alarm indication is provided by two relay outputs.

Relays are programmed to activate when the oxygen level

moves either above or below a pre-defined set point. The

second alarm relay can also be used as a ‘general alarm’

which activates in the event of an instrument or system fault.

An optional external reference air unit is used to provide

reference air supply for the ZGP2 probe. If this unit is not

specified, reference air must be supplied to the probe from an

alternative source.

For full installation and operation details of the ZGP2 probe

refer to the operating manual, IM/ZGP2.

ABB TZIDC ‘Fail-safe’ safety function

‘Fail-safe’ safety function

If the electric power supply fails, the positioner output 1 is

depressurized and the return spring in the pneumatic

actuator moves the valve to the safe position. In case of a

‘double-acting’ version, output 2 is additionally pressurized.

‘Fail-freeze’ function

If the electric power supply fails, the positioner Output 1

(and Output 2 if applicable) is closed and the pneumatic

actuator blocks the valve in the current position. If the

compressed air supply power fails, the positioner

depressurizes the actuator.

Use

The positioner has a built-in operating panel providing a 2

line LCD indicator and 4 operating buttons for

commissioning, configuration and monitoring during live

operation.

Alternatively, the appropriate configuration program can be

used via the available communication interface.

Communication

The positioner has a local communication interface (LCI) as

standard. Additionally, a ‘HART® communication’ option for

communication via the 20 mA signal is available. Both

communications are based on the HART® Protocol.

Alternatively, HART®5 or HART®7 are available.

Inputs / Outputs

In addition to its input for the analog position setpoint, the

positioner is equipped with a digital input which can be used

to activate control system functions in the device. A digital

output allows you to output collective messages (alarms /

faults).

Modular design

The basic model can be enhanced at any time by retrofitting

optional equipment.

Option modules can be installed for analog and digital

position feedback.

Additionally, a mechanical position indicator, proximity

switches or 24 V microswitches are available for indicating

the position independently of the mother board function.
