Emerson FloBoss™ S600+ Flow Computer

The FloBoss™ S600+ Flow Computer (S600+) is a panel-mount fiscal flow computer designed specifically

for hydrocarbon liquid and gas measurement where versatility and accuracy are high priorities.

The FloBoss S600+ builds on the success of its predecessor, the S600, which has been the market-leading panel-mount flow computer from Emerson Process Management.

The standard features of the S600+ make it ideal for the following applications:

▪ Fiscal flow measurement

▪ Custody transfer

▪ Pipeline measurement

▪ Batch loading

▪ Meter proving applications

▪ Single or multi-stream measurement

▪ Flow control

The S600+ supports multi-stream (up to ten with optional expansion modules),

multi-station (up to two) applications that are configured for simultaneous metering of gas, wet gas, crude oil, refined products, LPG, NGLs, etc.

The S600+ can accommodate both a liquid and a gas station simultaneously.

Supported flow meters or primary elements include turbine, ultrasonic, Coriolis, positive displacement, orifice,

Venturi, Annubar, V-Cone®, and Rosemount conditioning orifice plate.

The S600+ supports an unprecedented number of global measurement standards including those covered by AGA, ISO, GPA,

and GERG for gas applications, and API, ASTM, GPA, and NORSOK for liquid applications.

The S600+ uses distributed processing to achieve maximum performance. The S600+ contains a more powerful main processor than the original S600.

The new CPU incorporates a hardware floating point processor and performs faster calculations than before, minimizing uncertainty and maximizing control.

A-B 1394 Digital AC Multi-Axis Motion Control System

Overview

The 1394 System

The 1394 is a modular, multi-axis motion control and drive system family.

Its unique design allows the 1394 to be used as an integrated motion controller and drive system (GMC) with Turbo or standard

IMC S Class Compact functionality, an integrated 9/440 CNC system,

a 9/Series CNC digital interface drive system, a SERCOS servo drive system, or an analog servo drive system.

All 1394 systems provide direct line connection (transformerless) for 360 and 480V three-phase input power,

efficient IGBT power conversion, and slide-and-lock, module-to-module connection

systems. Each system module can be configured with up to four axis modules,

with each axis module interfacing to a motor.

The 1394 provides significant panel space and interconnect savings.

1394 System Overview

GMC System

The 1394 GMC System provides all the functionality of the IMC S Class Compact Motion Controller and power conversion within the 1394 system module.

Allen-Bradley offers two versions of the 1394 GMC system module (Standard GMC and GMC Turbo).

Both systems are completely programmed and commissioned using GML (Graphical Motion Control Language),

offer Allen-Bradley DH485, RS-232, and RS-422 as standard communications, and have Remote I/O and AxisLink available as communication options.

The 1394x-SJTxx-C (Standard GMC) system supports four axis modules and provides four channels of auxiliary encoder input.

The 1394C-SJTxx-L (Standard GMC) provides the same functionality of the 1394x-SJTxx-C,

but supports only one axis module and provides two channels of auxiliary encoder input.

Benefits

Applications

The Coaxlink Quad CXP-12 JPEG enables the compact implementation of a multi-channel ultra-high-resolution image acquisition and recording system. The embedded pixel processing drastically reduces the CPU workload to monitor and compress image streams.

Description

• The 4-camera firmware variant of the Coaxlink Quad CXP-12 JPEG implements four independent image acquisition channels with, for each of them, a Bayer CFA decoder and a baseline JPEG encoder that can process up to 250 Megapixels/s, for a total of 1 billion color pixels per second.

• Each channel delivers two concurrent streams: a “JPEG” encoded stream for recording and a “Preview” stream for monitoring.

• The JPEG stream delivers, with a typical latency of only 20 lines, 4:2:2 full-resolution JFIF-compliant encoded images compatible with standard JPEG decoders. The JPEG encoding quality is configurable from 1 to 100.

• The Preview stream provides 8-bit Bayer full-resolution, 24-bit RGB full-resolution or 24-bit RGB low-resolution images.

Support of JFIF image format

The GenICam Browser and GenTL Viewer applications now support JFIF images.

Benefits

Connect a CXP-12 camera to a Coaxlink QSFP+ frame grabber The Coaxlink CXP-12 to QSFP+ Converter allows connecting a CXP-12 camera to a Coaxlink QSFP+ frame grabber using fiber optics. With multi-mode fibers, the maximum cable length can reach 150 meters. With single-mode fibers, the maximum cable length can reach 40 kilometers.

What is CoaXPress-over-Fiber?

CoaXPress-over-Fiber is a light but significant extension of the existing CoaXPress specification to support transport over fiber optics.

CoaXPress (CXP) is the de-facto standard for high-bandwidth computer vision applications. CoaXPress 2.0. the latest version of the specification, specifies the CXP-12 speed, a 12.5 Gbps (Gigabit per second) link over a coaxial copper cable.

As link aggregation is common with CoaXPress, bandwidths of 5.000 MB/s (1.250 MB/s x 4) are easily achievable with four CXP-12 links. The CoaXPress specification is hosted by the JIIA (Japan Industrial Imaging Association).

CoaXPress-over-Fiber has been designed as an add-on to the CoaXPress 2.0 specification. It provides a way to run the CoaXPress protocol, as it is, unmodified, over a standard Ethernet connection, including fiber optics. As such, CoaXPressover-Fiber uses standard electronics, connectors and cables designed for Ethernet, but the protocol is CoaXPress, not Ethernet, not GigE Vision.

A-B 1336 PLUS II Adjustable Frequency AC Drive

Electrical Interference – EMI/RFI

Immunity

The immunity of 1336 PLUS II drives to externally generated interfer ence is good.

Usually, no special precautions are required beyond the installation practices provided in this publication.

It is recommended that the coils of DC energized contactors associ ated with drives be suppressed with a diode or similar device,

since they can generate severe electrical transients.

Emission

Careful attention must be given to the arrangement of power and ground connections to the drive to avoid interference with nearby sen

sitive equipment. The cable to the motor carries switched voltages and should be routed well away from sensitive equipment.

The ground conductor of the motor cable should be connected to the drive ground (PE) terminal directly.

Connecting this ground conductor to a cabinet ground point or ground bus bar may cause high frequency current to circulate in the ground system of the enclosure.

The motor end of this ground conductor must be solidly connected to the motor case ground.

Shielded or armored cable may be used to guard against radiated emissions from the motor cable.

The shield or armor should be connected to the drive ground (PE) terminal and the motor ground as outlined above.

Common mode chokes at the drive output can help reduce commonmode noise on installations that do not use shielded cable.

Common mode chokes can also be used on analog or communication cables.

Refer to page 2–37 for further information.

An RFI filter can be used and in most situations provides an effective reduction of RFI emissions that may be conducted into the main supply lines.

If the installation combines a drive with sensitive devices or circuits,it is recommended that the lowest possible drive PWM carrier frequency be programmed.
