Uniop ERT-16 Industrial PLC Workstation

The ERT-16 fulfills the need for a powerful yet cost effective operator interface system. Displays are sixteen

lines of a pixel based LCD in monochrome color. These pixel addressable displays allow graphic capabilities with our Designer for Windows software package. Each page can contain 16 lines. Each line can contain up to 40 characters. Brightness control is provided to adjust the display for easy viewing under nearly any condition.

Display Variables

PLC internal variables can be shown on any of the many display pages. The number of variables that can be viewed at one time is limited only by the display size. UniOP also provides scaling (linear conversion) of the displayed data. The final value can then be shown in several useful formats including bargraph, date, time,decimal, bit,exadecimal, floating point, and string. Data entry with valid range verification is also available for each data type.

Data Entry

The ETT-VGA gives the user eight configurable function keys and seven user-definable LEDs. The analog touchscreen adds the ability to create touchcells as small as a single character or as large as the entire screen.

Uniop ePAD03 HMI with graphic display

Compact low-cost HMI with graphic display. The ePAD03 and ePAD04 panels are defining a new standard for entry-level HMI products. They are the ideal replacement for the successful MD00 Series. 

These products are also available with extended operating emperature range for use in extreme environmental conditions.

Highlights

The ePAD03 and ePAD04 HMI panels are compact low cost products yet extremely rich in functionality. The ePAD03 and ePAD04 are the ideal replacement for panels of the MD00 Series. 

They generally outperform the equivalent products and can be used in all cases except when the 20 mA current loop interface is needed. 

The products support the rich common functionality of the UniOP operator panels:

ABB 560BOR01 RTU560 Product Family Binary Outputs

Applications

The module 560BOR01 controls 16 binary process signals via relay contacts. The output signals can be assigned to process functions according to configuration rules.

The module 560BOR01 can process the following types of signals:

– Single or double command (SCO or DCO) with 1- or 2-pole output, no checksum (n select 1).

– Single or dual commands (SCO or DCO) with 1.5 or 2-pole outputs, without checksum (1 out of n).

– Regulating step command (RCO), 1 or 2 poles

– Digital setpoint command, 8 or 16 bit, no strobe (DSO8 or DSO16)

– Digital setpoint command, 8 or 16 bit, with strobe (DSO8 or DSO16)

– Bit String Output, 1. 2. 8 or 16 bits (BSO1. BSO2. BSO8 or BSO16)

Modules allow switching voltages up to 150 V DC or up to 2 A continuous current.

Binary outputs

The binary outputs utilize relay contacts.

The 16 outputs are divided into two groups. Each of the 8 outputs has a common circuit. The groups are isolated from each other and from the internal electronics.

The relay coil supply voltage (24 VDC) is switched by an www.cniacs.com internal relay (R17).

The relay coil supply voltage (24 VDC) is monitored internally before and during the command output.

Command outputs to the process equipment can be executed either directly or in conjunction with the command output monitoring module.

The command output monitoring module is responsible for checking the output circuits (1 out of n times). For more details, refer to the Command Output Monitor datasheet.

The EtherCAT® Bus Coupler connects Real-Time Ethernet systems via modular, expandable electronic terminal blocks. A complete unit consists of a Bus Coupler, a set of Bus Terminals and a terminal.

The EtherCAT Coupler connects the real-time Ethernet system EtherCAT with modular, expandable electronic terminal blocks. A unit consists of a Bus Coupler, a set of terminals and a terminal.

The Bus Coupler recognizes the connected Bus Terminals and automatically assigns them to the EtherCAT process image. The Bus Coupler is connected to the network via the upper Ethernet interface. The lower RJ 45 socket can be used to connect other EtherCAT devices in the same strand.

In an EtherCAT network, the EtherCAT Coupler www.cniacs.com can be installed anywhere in the Ethernet signaling section (100BASE-TX) – except directly on the switch.

EtherCAT (Ethernet Control Automation Technology) is an Ethernet solution for industrial automation characterized by excellent performance and particularly simple operation. etherCAT enables Ethernet star topologies to be replaced by simple line structures. In addition, EtherCAT can also be wired in the “classic” way using switches for the integration of additional Ethernet devices. The master does not require special plug-in cards and can be realized on any existing Ethernet controller using very simple interfaces. EtherCAT is therefore also ideally suited for small and medium-sized control applications and will open up new fields of application for distributed I/O.

For EtherCAT, stand-alone I/O systems with protection class IP 20 are available as EtherCAT Terminals. Unlike the Bus Terminals, in which the fieldbus signals are realized in a Bus Coupler on a terminal bus that is internally independent of the fieldbus, the EtherCAT protocol remains fully intact within the individual terminal.
