Prosoft ILX56-PBS PROFIBUS DPV1 Slave for ControlLogix®

The ILX56-PBS PROFIBUS DPV1 Multi-Slave module allows Rockwell

Automation® ControlLogix® processors to communicate on a PROFIBUS

DP protocol network by emulating up to 10 individual slave devices.

This multi-slave support of the module provides the ability to pass up to

2440 bytes of input and output data as high-speed cyclic I/O data on a

PROFIBUS DP network.

Combined with the use of multiple I/O connections back to the

ControlLogix processor, this module provides data update rates that will

meet even the most demanding of PROFIBUS DP applications.

In addition, with the use of the PLX50 Configuration Utility you have

advanced features such as custom-built Add-On Routines and a

PROFIBUS DP packet capture utility to minimize the amount of time and

effort in getting a ControlLogix PAC operating on a PROFIBUS DP

network.

Features

♦ Rockwell Automation Encompass™-Approved Solution

♦ Remote diagnostics via configuration utility with built-in PROFIBUS DP

packet capture utility

♦ Multi-slave mode allows module to emulate up to 10 individual slaves for

transfer of up to 2440 bytes of cyclic I/O data

♦ Supports DPV1 Acyclic Messaging

♦ Add-On Profile and custom Add-On Routines provided to allow for seamless

integration to Studio 5000

♦ Can emulate the PROFIBUS DP Identification number of the ProSoft MVI56-PDPS

module to allow replacement of legacy

modules without having to reprogram the PROFIBUS DP master device

(Note: Requires ladder logic changes).

Explicit ladder logic CIP message blocks provide slave

status diagnostic data and acyclic messaging.

The PS69-DPS interface appears to the CompactLogix

controller as a standard I/O module allowing it to be

configured via RSLogix™ 5000. or configuration can be

transferred from the Master to the PS69-DPS. For third

party configuration a GSD file is supplied. The slave

interface possesses a diagnostic interface and has

rotary switches for setting of the bus address. Complete

program examples for simple and quick start-up are

available.

Each module is equipped with LEDs to display

communication and device status.
