Product Description

The IC693CHS397 is a 5-slot expansion baseboard for the 90-30 Series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform.

Formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc and now part of Emerson Automation, this baseboard has five (5) main I/O slots,

one (1) power slot, and one (1) expansion port. The module supports the installation of standard 90-30 series I/O modules and specialized modules.

It can be mounted directly to the panel using the supplied mounting tabs.

About the IC693CHS398

The IC693CHS398 is an expansion backplane for the 90-30 Series PLCs, formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc and now part of Emerson Automation.

The module can be paired with a CPU baseboard and connected through the expansion port on the CPU baseboard.

With the IC693CHS398. the central processing unit (CPU) module can control additional I/O modules.

The number of expansion boards (e.g., IC693CHS398) allowed per system varies depending on the type of CPU used.

Specifically, up to four expansion boards can be used simultaneously for any of the CPUs 331. 340. and 341. and up to four expansion boards can be used simultaneously for CPU 350 and above.

The IC693CHS398 is equipped with five (5) I/O slots for option modules.

These slots are uniquely sized to prevent improper module installation. This backplane requires a dedicated power supply module to operate.

The power supply is installed through a dedicated power supply slot located on the left side of the hardware. There is also an expansion baseboard port on the far right side of the hardware for connecting additional expansion baseboards.

VMIVME-3122 High Performance 16-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter Boards

Product Description

The VMIVME-3122 is a member of VMIC’s extensive VMEbus analog I/O product line.

It features 16-bit digital resolution, program-controlled gain, selectable slew rates, and auto-scanning for 64 differential or single-ended channels,

Auto-scan for 64 differential or single-ended analog inputs.

The VMIVME-3122 has excellent dynamic range and analog input channel density. Multiple modes of operation are supported, including auto-scan, data burst, and external synchronization.

The board interfaces directly with VMIC’s family of signal conditioning boards to digitize the outputs of thermocouples, RTDs, and strain gages.

Individual channel gains can be downloaded for use during scanning operations, or the board can be configured for fixed gains. The boards can be configured for fixed gain common to all channels.

Multiple boards can be synchronized together, allowing up to 16 boards to start each scan simultaneously.

Interval timers, bus interrupters, channel counters, and mid-scan/end-of-scan flags simplify monitoring of data in the dual-port data buffer.

GE PCI-5565PIORC Ultrafast Fiber Optic Reflective Memory with Interrupts

The PMC-5565PIORC* is the PMC-based product in GE Intelligent Platforms’ Reflective Memory Real-Time Fiber Optic Network product family.

Two or more PMC-5565PIORCs, as well as other products in this family, can be integrated into a network using standard fiber optic cables.

Each board in the network is referred to as a “node”.

Reflective memory allows computers, workstations, PLCs and other embedded controllers with different architectures and different operating systems to share data in real time.

Functional Features

Board Features:

This 64-bit optically coupled digital input board is designed and optimized for the VME bus.

The VMIVME-1150 is highly isolated and provides a flexible, low cost, high noise immunity 8-byte digital input port. The functional block diagram is shown below.

Compatibility:

The VMIVME-1150 is a standard double height printed circuit board that is electrically and mechanically compatible with the VME bus.

Input Organization:

Eight input ports, each eight bits wide. The ports are organized as eight consecutive 8-bit read-only registers.

Addressing Scheme:

Each 8-bit port is individually addressable anywhere within an 8-bit or 16-bit boundary.

Short-circuit monitoring or short-circuiting anywhere within unprivileged I/O space.

Board Address:

The board address is selected by the on-board DIP switches. Runs in any available slot on the VMEbus backplane except slot 1.

VMEbus Access:

The address modifier bits are decoded to support short supervised or unprivileged short I/O access. A jumper is provided to support this option. The board is factory configured for short supervised I/O access.

VME Bus Reply:

The DTACK reply is a response to a data select (DS0 or DS1) and the decoded board address.
