A-B 1746-NT8 SLC 500 Thermocouple/Voltage Analog Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1746-NT8 is an SLC 500 thermocouple/mV analog input module.

The module has eight (8) channels and is compatible with thermocouple sensors such as J, K, T, E, S, R, B, and N. It is also compatible with mV inputs such as +/- 50 mV and +/- 100 mV.

It is also compatible with mV inputs such as +/- 50 mV and +/- 100 mV. The module is compatible with both stationary and modular SLC 500s.

About the 1746-NT8

The 1746-NT8 is Allen-Bradley’s SLC 500 thermocouple/voltage analog input module.

It is a chassis-mounted, eight (8) channel module that receives thermocouple/voltage signals and converts them to digital signals for retrieval by any SLC 500 processor.

It has a backplane current rating of 120mA at 5V DC and 70mA at 24V DC for a total backplane power of 2.28W.

The 1746-NT8 uses a delta-sigma signal conversion method and has a digital low-pass filter with selectable programmable filter frequencies.

The normal mode rejection between terminals is greater than 100 dB at 50-60 Hz, and the common mode rejection between input and ground is greater than 100 dB at 50-60 Hz.

The 1746-NT8 module automatically calibrates itself approximately every 2 minutes after power-up.

It provides +/-30V DC and 600W pulses for 1ms input overvoltage protection and 12.5V DC circuit isolation between inputs and chassis ground, and between inputs and backplane, with a test voltage of 500V DC for 1 minute.

The 1746-NT8 has nine green LEDs to indicate channel status and module status.

It uses the 1746-RT34 (RTB) removable terminal block to connect the input devices. The terminal block includes two (2) cold junction compensation (CJC) sensors with an accuracy of +/-1.72 degrees Celsius.

The 1783-MX08T switch is an Allen-Bradley managed Ethernet switch.

The 1783-MX08T Switch, manufactured by Allen-Bradley, is a Stratix 8000 modular managed Ethernet switch.

A-B 1771-IR PLC5 Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IR is a PLC5 resistance temperature detector (RTD) input module.

The module has six (6) input channels and is compatible with copper and platinum RTD types.

It is designed to support temperature measurements in Celsius and Fahrenheit units of measurement. It has a scan time of 50 milliseconds for six channels.

About the 1771-IR

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IR is a PLC-5 RTD input with a natural binary BDC supported data format for actual temperature and ohmic readings.

The unit does not require any type of external power supply. It consists of six three-wire RTD inputs.

The device’s channel update resolution introduces a combination of 50ms/6 channels and 16 bits + sign (1.0 degrees Celsius/1.0 degrees Fahrenheit/bit).

The 1771-IR input module has a voltage range of 100 ohms platinum and 10 ohms other. It has a backplane current range of 800mA.

The DC signal delay is 10ms in the on state, 50ms in the off state, and 45(+/- 15) ms in the AC signal delay in the on state.

Hardware Tips and Specifications

The DS200DCFBG1BJB is a large rectangular board with a large number of surface mounted components. These include seven 4-position DIP switch devices and twelve configurable jumpers.

Six DIP switches are located together on one side of the board. These are used to scale or change many different inputs.

For example, switch number 4 (SW4) is used to regulate the voltage applied to the VCO output bridge circuit.

The board also has a neon light to indicate a blown fuse in the 115 VAC line and two LEDs to indicate blown fuses in the +24 VDC line and -24 VDC line.

Several specific integrated circuits of note are provided on the substrate of this DS200DCFBG1BJB product.

These integrated circuits, like many of the individual hardware components available in the assembly of this DS200DCFBG1BJB product, are accompanied by their own set of factory-printed nomenclature.

as well as fuses, resistor networks and resistors, capacitors, transistors, heat sinks, transformers, and relays. The board has test points for checking voltage signals and fuses for protection.

GE IC200MDL940 16-Point Relay Output Module

The module can be used to energize output devices such as relay coils, solenoid-driven instruments, indicator lights, and other instruments.

It has no snubber circuits or internal protective fuses, however, the user can install external protection accordingly.

The module does not display output leakage currents because the contact outputs are open-circuit when not activated.

In addition, each output channel has a response time of 10 ms and is dedicated to open-to-closed and proximity-to-open contact switching.

The maximum switching frequency of each output contact is 20 cycles per minute when used with inductive loads. Each output channel is equipped with a separate channel status indicator to characterize the operating status of each channel.

This IC200MDL940 has a maximum backplane current consumption of 490mA and requires a rating of 0 to 125VDC,

5/24/125VDC and 0 to 265VAC (47 to 63Hz) nominal external power supplies with a nominal supply voltage of 120/240VAC.

The IC200MDL940 module is a VersaMax PLC relay output module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is equipped with 16 output points.

The module has A-type contact outputs and is compatible for use in Class 1 Division 2 rated environments over a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.

It complies with different environmental and industrial standards, including CE and cULus standards. These individual points are isolated from each other.

The IC200MDL940 module is rated for 24 volts DC and 120 to 240 volts AC. It is rated at 2 amps.

The front of the module has a lock/unlock lever. Each point has an LED to indicate activity on that point.

When the CPU logic bit is set to 1. the contacts in the module are closed.

The GE Fanuc VersaMax IC200MDL940 module is powered through the backplane. Loads on the module should be powered through an external power supply.

An additional CPU is required to handle the logic operations of the module. The logic and frame ground isolation ratings for the user input module are 250 volts AC continuous, 1500 volts AC for time periods up to 60 seconds.

The output voltage drop is 0.3 V maximum. The IC200MDL940 module has a load current of 10 mA per point.

The relay used in the module is a fixed coil relay with a movable arm. The contact type is made of high quality silver alloy.

GE General Electric PQM Power Quality Analyzer

Data logger for medium voltage networks, transformers, capacitor banks, generators and motors.

The PQM is ideal when continuous monitoring of three-phase networks is required.

It measures current, voltage, real and reactive power, energy consumption, energy cost, power factor and frequency.

With programmable thresholds and 4 configurable output relays, control functions are available for specific applications.
