The 2500S family of Slice I/O modules expands the capability of 2500

Series® Systems to include small drops of I/O connected over Ethernet.

Slice I/O modules communicate to 2500 Series® Processors using CAMP

protocol and read/write directly to the PLC memory or I/O image table.

This allows transparent integration into the 2500 Series® system without

the requirement for any complicated configuration step.

Ethernet connection to the CPU can be accomplished using the on-board

port on 2500-Cxxx Processors, or using a 2572 / 2572-A Ethernet module.

Note that when using 2572 or 2572-A modules, Slice I/O can be connected

even to legacy Siemens® and Texas Instruments PLCs.

Several models of Slice I/O are available with different mixes of I/O and with

additional communications options including RS232/485 and 900MHz radio.

Slice I/O modules feature Universal Analog Inputs which allow connection

of 0-5V, 0-20mA, thermocouple, and RTD sensors. All Slice I/O modules can

also be configured to communicate over Ethernet using Modbus-TCP.

Note: This unit is designed to work on a battery so +12VDC is operating

voltage, not +24VDC.

Series Overview

CTI Industrial PCs are based on the latest Intel® Atom™ processor

technology and feature a high-brightness LCD panel for easy readability

under industrial conditions, solid-state disk drive, and fanless operation.

These Touch-Panel PCs provide for operation in severe environments

and are ideal for use as HMI / SCADA workstations.

They are available in 15″  with Windows®7 Embedded and allow you to

install and use your own HMI software.

The 2500-RADP is an RBC Adapter that enables the use of CTI 2500

Series® RBCs and Processors, including CTI’s new Janus line of

processors, within legacy Texas Instruments Series 500 I/O bases.

This adapter offers a seamless upgrade path, allowing you to

modernize your Series 500 system without a complete system

replacement. You can immediately replace failed Series 500 RBCs

and Processors with reliable CTI 2500 Series® equivalents.

When budget and/or time permits, you can transition to a full

CTI 2500 Series® system without losing your initial investment

in the replaced modules.

The 2500-R4500 is designed to replace various older style of Texas

Instruments Programmable Controllers (520/530) and/or Distributed

Base Controllers. The 520/530/ DBC units are commonly referred to

as “oil pan” or “sump” units due to their boxy shape with ribbed fins.

Note that the 520C/530C/530T programmable controllers (520C-1101

/1102. 530C-1102/1104/1108/ 1112. 530T-1104/1112) are modular

-type PLCs which attached to the I/O using the 500-5840 adapter base.

These can be replaced using the R4500 adapter, or the 2500-RADP

adapter sleeve.
