HIMA SILworX API (application programming interface)

Customize your automation process in a simple way

Via an additional interface in SILworX, external plug-ins such as scripts, programs or functions

can be integrated into your own automation project without affecting the safety functions.

Plug-ins are applications that interact with SILworX but are not included in the SILworX application.

Extend SILworX by integrating application-specific functions as needed and benefit of flexible

programming, increased efficiency and faster time-to-market.

HIMA SILworX offers a modular approach

SILworX allows you to program and configure your HIMA safety-related controllers

and diagnose errors in an intuitive user interface. This results in fewer user errors

and faster engineering – enabling you to commission your safety system more quickly

and adapt it to new requirements immediately.

The engineering tool is a part of the HIMA Smart Safety Platform and adapts modularly

to your project requirements. In addition to its core function, SILworX also offers Industry

4.0 functions for user-specific programming. Benefit from efficient and flexible engineering

Eaton CODESYS software

The CODESYS software is the ideal programming tool for machine and process

applications in machine building and system integration. The software is the

perfect programming tool for all applications in which a powerful PLC or HMI-PLC

with various field bus connections is required. All XV/XC controllers from Eaton

can be programmed with CODESYS version 2 or 3. The software combines

sophisticated technical features and easy handling. In addition, it is the

programming system of choice for many manufacturers.

The integrated PROFIBUS-DP, CANopen and SmartWire-DT fieldbus configurators

facilitate the fast, intuitive and flexible connection of the devices to your fieldbus

of choice. In addition, CODESYS version 3 also offers configurators for Modbus 

TCP/RTU as well as for EthernetIP and EtherCat.

smartphones is also possible. To enable this feature, CODESYS V3 generates

CODESYS version 3

Compared to version 2. CODESYS 3 offers, among other things, extended language

options as well as the possibility to create several PLC programs in one project.

It also comes with the option to create new visualization applications.

In addition, web pages are now generated using HTML5. while customer-specific

applications can be created by means of a plug-in programming tool.

Eaton XI/ON I/O system

Eaton’s decentralized I/O system XI/ON included the XN… and XNE…

and the corresponding accessories.

The XN300 system, which was introduced as the successor to the

XI/ON I/O system, enables flexible expansion of the local function

level of the new XControl controller generation as well as use as remote

I/O via communication gateways. The universal use of the XN300 I/O

system for the local and decentralized I/O level reduces the variety of

devices and simplifies engineering. In addition, the IO configuration

can be flexibly adapted to the requirements of your automation solution

with all XN300 I/O modules.

In decentralized applications, the XN300 I/O modules can be integrated

into standardized CANopen and EtherCAT communication networks via

gateways, allowing the XN300 system to be used with any PLC and

providing a modern replacement for the XION series.

The flexible XControl system includes the modular XC-303. XC-204 and 

XC-104 PLCs, which can be combined with the XN300 I/O modules and

gateways, as well as the XSOFT-CODESYS-3 programming software.

Via the CANopen and EtherCAT gateway, the XN300 can be integrated at fieldbus

level to create powerful systems that meet the requirements of demanding applications.

High-speed backplane communication links enables reaction times of less than 1 ms

and a maximum number of 640 channels. EtherCAT communication allows for

maximum machine productivity, making your application both efficient and future-proof.

XN300-Assist

The XN300-Assist software tool supports the planning and commissioning of the XN300

modules. In addition to online features, such as the reading and setting of signal states 

and parameters, important auxiliary functions, including a validity check, can be performed offline.

Applications with maximum flexibility

In combination with our powerful XC300 modular PLC, the XN300 system enables you

to quickly and effectively implement compact automation solutions. Thanks to its CAN

and EtherCAT interfaces, the XC300 can be used as a local or remote I/O to support

the implementation of universal solutions based on the XN300 system.

The possibility of combining different modules as required turns the XN300

into the ideal system solution for a broad range of applications. The basic

product portfolio also includes gateway modules that support all Eaton I/O

system components. Digital modules, which can be used both as input/output

and relay modules, enable multiple application options. Analog input/output and

multi-functional modules, which can perform mixed functions, are also available.

Technology modules, which can, for example, be used for weighing, counting or

to drive motors, further expand the scope of application.
