Beckhoff EK1110-0044 | EtherCAT EJ coupler, CX and EL terminal connection, EtherCAT junction

The E-bus signals and the supply voltage of the field side UP are routed

directly to the signal distribution board via a plug connector at the rear of

the EtherCAT EJ Coupler. Thanks to the direct coupling of the Embedded

PC and EtherCAT terminals with the EtherCAT plug-in modules on the PCB,

no EtherCAT extension (EK1110) or EtherCAT Coupler (EJ1100) is required.

The system and field supply of the EK1110-0044 is provided by the power

supply unit of the Embedded PC. In addition, the EK1110-0044 has an RJ45

socket that enables connection of an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connector

and establishes a connection to a further EtherCAT segment or to individual

EtherCAT devices.

The Embedded PC can be extended with EtherCAT Terminals that are not

yet available in the EJ system, for example. The preassembled subsystem,

consisting of a printed circuit board with mounted DIN rail, Embedded PC

and EtherCAT plug-in modules, can be tested in advance and subsequently

integrated into the machine assembly as a complete unit.

Beckhoff EK1110-0044 | EtherCAT EJ coupler

The EK1110-0044 EtherCAT EJ Coupler connects the compact Embedded

PCs from the CX series and the attached EtherCAT Terminals with the

EtherCAT plug-in modules on an application-specific circuit board

(signal distribution board).

Special features:

• Connection technology: 1 x connector at the rear of the EtherCAT EJ

Coupler, 1 x RJ45 socket

• Forwarding of E-bus signals and field supply to the signal distribution

board

• additional EtherCAT junction

Beckhoff EK1110-0008 | EtherCAT extension with M8 connection

The EK1110-0008 EtherCAT extension is placed at the end of an EtherCAT

Terminal segment or an Embedded PC from the CX series and offers the

option of extending the EtherCAT network in the form of a line topology.

Special features:

• connection technology: 1 x M8 socket

• connection lengths: up to 100 m

• extension of an EtherCAT network in line topology

The EK1110-0008 has an M8 socket that enables connection of an Ethernet

cable with M8 connector and establishes a connection to a further EtherCAT

segment or to individual EtherCAT devices. The M8 socket is compatible with

the EtherCAT Box modules and therefore enables uniform cabling in the IP20

and IP67 range. The E-bus signals are converted to 100BASE-TX Ethernet

signal representation in a continuous process. Power supply to the EK1110-0008

electronics is via the E-bus. No parameterization or configuration is required.

Beckhoff EC1110 | EtherCAT Terminal extension, RJ45, angled, push-in

The EC1110 EtherCAT extension is placed at the end of an EtherCAT

Terminal segment or an Embedded PC from the CX series and offers

the option of extending the EtherCAT network in the form of a line

topology. Due to the angled RJ45 socket, the cable can be fed directly

into the cable channel without the need for a larger bending radius.

Special features:

• connection technology: 1 x RJ45 socket, angled

• connection lengths: up to 100 m

• extension of an EtherCAT network in line topology

The EC1110 has an RJ45 socket, which enables the connection of an

Ethernet cable with RJ45 plug and establishes a connection to another

EtherCAT segment or to individual EtherCAT devices. The E-bus signals

are converted to 100BASE-TX Ethernet signal representation in a

continuous process. Power supply to the EC1110 electronics is via the

E-bus. No parameterization or configuration is required.

Beckhoff CU8130-0240 | UPS modul, battery-backed

The three diagnostic LEDs show the status of the input voltage, the output voltage, and the state of charge and indicate possible

error states.

A special feature of the Beckhoff CU81xx devices is OCT (One Cable Technology) as communication technology between UPS and

Industrial PC. This means that the two connecting lines (+24 V, 0 V) between the Industrial PC and the UPS are used not only to

supply the Industrial PC, but also for bidirectional, modulated data transmission. If both sides are OCT-capable, no further

connection, e.g., via USB, is required. This simplifies cabling and also allows longer connection distances compared to USB.

All UPS devices of the CU81xx series have permanent wiring via two 9-pin plugs, so that the wiring does not have to be

disconnected during service.

Note: Please refer to the product documentation for the retention times that can be achieved with the UPS and important

information on installation and safe operation of the devices.

Beckhoff CU8130-0240 The main features of this UPS

CU8130-0240 is a battery-backed, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) providing up to 30 Wh with a maximum output power of

220 W.

If the external 24 V DC input voltage is lost, the UPS takes over the supply of the devices connected to it thanks to its regulated and

buffered 24 V DC output voltage.

The CU81xx UPS series is suitable for all Beckhoff components, particularly Industrial PCs, Embedded PCs, Panels, and Panel PCs.

The main features of this UPS are:

• battery module based on NiMH cells

• battery module as spare part easily exchangeable during service, UPS electronics remain mounted and are reused

• UPS can be mounted on a DIN rail or at the rear panel of the control cabinet

• connection option for a main device (e.g. Industrial PC) and a secondary device (e.g. Control Panel)

• short-circuit protected outputs

• automatic switch-off based on time or residual energy control to protect the energy module

• automatic restart when power is restored (autonomous start)

• protocol-based communication with Industrial PC, optionally via OCT (One Cable Technology) or USB

• digital signals for communication with non-protocol-capable end devices

• parameterization and diagnostics via Beckhoff UPS configuration software on various operating systems

• TwinCAT PLC function blocks for querying the UPS operation
