Autronica AutroSafe Self Verify™ Integrated Fire

Brief Introduction

The AutroSafe Self Verify™ Integrated Fire and Gas detection system

described in key words is as follows:

 Both the Fire Detectors as well as the Gas Detectors can be

connected to the same panel or system.

 All detectors are interactive addressable devices with intelligent

communication. Non-addressable detectors can be connected via

a 4-20mA interface.

 Field devices have a built-in calibrated self-test to verify and

confirm their ability to perform correctly. This can be considered as

supplemental to – and can be used instead of – manual testing and

inspection routines. Refer to Chapter 4.4.

 Flame and Gas Detectors can be connected to the AutroSafe

Panel by using a 2-wire loop structure (PowerLoop). The

PowerLoop provides both power to, as well as interactive

communication with the detectors. Studies have shown that the

Fire & Gas Detection Control System’s cable requirement can be

reduced with 30-60% by utilizing this concept as opposed to

conventional systems.

 AutroSafe SelfVerify™ IFG is a modular and distributed system

providing maximum flexibility. The AutroNet communication

facilitates the possibility to link cause and effect across panels

within the same AutroNet. In other words, any detector connected

to any panel can activate any output associated to any panel. Each

panel can have up to 12 custom AutroSafe I/O modules. Within the

limitations of the system, the system designer can freely select the

type and number of modules to be used.

 There are a number of versatile communication options available:

 Physical: Ethernet, RS-232. RS-422. RS-485. Al_Com loop,

AutroFieldBus, PowerLoop and either hardwired or fibre-optic

based AutroNet (Ethernet).

 Protocols: Modbus RTU Slave or Master, Modbus TCP/IP

Slave or Master, ESPA 4.4.4. and AutroCom (Autronica’s

proprietary protocol).

Autronica AutroSafe 4 integrated fire and gas (IFG) panels

Our IEC 61508 SIL 2 approved system for the offshore industry.

The AutroSafe Integrated Fire and Gas (IFG) 4 is designed for the toughest

requirements and expands the possibilities of a F&G detection system even

further. From offshore platforms to LNG plants to refineries, AutroSafe IFG

delivers the most rigorous F&G safety yet.

Autronica Fire and Security launched AutroSafe, our high-end fire detection

system, in 1999. From day one, AutroSafe has proven its unique stability

and reliability in more than 15 000 of installations worldwide, both on- and

offshore. AutroSafe IFG 4 provides advanced functionality for a wide range

of applications. The system is designed to meet all requirements in the

high-end segment of the offshore market. It is certified according to European

directives (CPD) requiring EN 54 compliance, and is approved by Factory Mutual

(FM) according to NFPA 72. Additionally, the F&G system is approved according

to SIL2 requirements by TÜV Nord.

Reliable communication is paramount to your safety. That’s why we’re adding

AutroNet to the AutroSafe IFG system, an innovative network solution safeguarding

communication between panels. AutroNet ensures a redundant and high-speed

network, expanding the reach of the AutroSafe IFG system even further.

The system can be set up either in a star or ring network, depending on your needs.

History proves you can rely on AutroSafe IFG. All existing functionality has stood up

to the toughest tests worldwide for more than 10 years. With AutroSafe IFG 4.

Autronica has once again taken fire safety to a higher level.

Autronica AutroSafe Interactive Fire Detection System

AutroSafe 4 panels

AutroSafe is our high-end fire detection system for large and complex buildings.

Since the launch in 1999. it has proven its unique stability and reliability in more

than 15 000 installations worldwide, from hotels to cruise ships to drilling platforms.

AutroSafe 4 provides advanced functionality for a wide range of applications.

The system is designed to meet all requirements in the high-end segment of the

onshore, maritime and offshore market, and is certified according to Marine

Equipment Directive (MED) for Wheel marking, Construction Products Directive

(CPD) for CE marking, both requiring EN 54-2 and 4 compliance, and Factory

Mutual (FM) approval according to NFPA 72.

Reliable communication is paramount to your safety. That’s why we have added

AutroNet to the AutroSafe system, an innovative network solution safeguarding

communication between panels. AutroNet ensures a redundant and high-speed

network expanding the reach of the AutroSafe system even further.

The system can be set up either in a star or ring network, depending on your needs.

A maximum of 64 system units (panels, controllers) can be connected to the AutroNet.

The system has a great capacity, and the fact that all types of loop units can be

connected to the same detection loop gives large flexibility. Uploading of configuration

data or system software to the entire system can be done from one single point.

The USB port is used for downloading data from a USB memory stick.

Autronica Fireman panel microphone kit

The Fireman Panel Microphone kit consists of an AutroSafe Fire Brigade

Panel BU-BV-420 and a miniVES/MULTIVES Fireman Microphone with zone

buttons in the same housing.

The AutroSafe Fire Brigade Panel is placed in the upper section of the kit. It is intended to provide information

related to fire alarms in the relevant Operation Zone and allow the fire brigade to operate fire alarms.

The panel displays alarms and allows you to operate alarms and receive additional information related to the

relevant operation zone. To operate alarms, a fireman’s key must be used (access level 2).

The panel is used to silence sounders and to reset alarms within a defined operation zone.

The panel provides the following buttons:

 More Events button
